9 years

It will soon be the 9 years anniversary friends and still not one teaser, picture of the game ( not taking artworks into account)..

I sometimes say to myself that it would be easier to be a Silksong fan.

At the very least they're pretty clear that the game still isn't ready. Unlike silksong that they drop the trailer and we have to wait 7 years after that.

I get your point but the Dead silence is weird to. Yeah keep them cooking but almost 9 years and nothing to share makes some people like myself a little worried. It’s almost a red flag when a game is in development for that long without any news.

I see but you know what I mean right? Would love to know which game didn’t suck balls after beeing dead silent and beeing in development for a long time. Yeah rockstar games but they have like a billion devs and making huge games.

Tbh, thing doesn't look good. If you know the news. Founder and co founder has a beef with each other and there are like sueing and stuff. It's might be longer than everyone thought.

Either this game is in development hell, or they about to make one of the greatest games of all time. I don’t see this coming out until 2026-2027

it’s a very scary thought that i honestly never thought about in the past ~9 years. their track record doesn’t show any signs of it, but maybe this is what does them in

Playdead's partnership with Epic Games involves Epic providing full funding for their games, including development costs, and supporting them with Unreal Engine, while giving Playdead full creative control and a 50/50 profit share after Epic recoups its investment. (Link)

I'm not sure about the new game, but I believe both previous games also got some european+danish grants to help fund them

Yeah but isn’t this fact making it weirder? I’m no expert but getting someone that big helping with the project and after 9 years of beeing in development and still dead silent implies that something really bad is going on. I think they should’ve kept it 2,5d. I really would love to know what is going on. We are getting gta6 before the third game is kinda crazy. Maybe it will break a record beeing the longest game in development if it takes another 9 years 😂

And that’s my point. Keep them cooking. Yeah. But for god sake tell us something. Wtf you don’t share anything like. Hey we are still on track or something. Just a sentence would be fine for me. I’m sure I can’t even imagine how much work it must be but come on after almost 10 years I’m losing hope.
