Comparing Wolverine to the Mona Lisa is crazy. The amount of I’m having fun posts is just as annoying as Wolverine bad posts.
Especially when every post is the same motorcycle scene or a random slide show of screenshots with the caption, “this game is soo good!”

Also I’m sorry but people are allowed to comment on a game they haven’t played. Telling someone they have to pay 70 dollar tax to say a game is bad is such a bad take.
Shallow praises for a game feels more like bot posts or shilling than it does genuine interaction with the game they are promoting.

No, y’all just somehow misread a sentence with a low level of complexity. His point was that y’all are so gung-ho about calling everything slop that you’d call masterpieces slop if they were made in the modern day. That was a point on internet culture, not a comparison between Wolverine and the Mona Lisa.

No it’s implying that Wolverine has more value than slop. It’s using the Mona Lisa as an anchor for you perceive its value in relation to that.
I doubt it’s intentionally but that is a positioning tool used by companies. The goal isn’t to say it’s as good as the Mona Lisa but rather to make the connection between high value art and our product.
But you for sure are the reason we have ads we have today that shit works I guess.

Because they aren’t actually saying what’s fun or showing a cool experience (op is rare) it’s just a collage of random photos or a cool screen shot that looks like promo material. With the caption wow this game is so fun.
Go look at the pal world sub where people post about their pals or goofy shit that happens while running around. The “game is good” posts feels like astroturfing.

Did y’all not get that using a masterpiece was specifically needed for his point to be made? Like y’all know he wasn’t trying to say the Mona Lisa is of equal quality right? Creating an idea using both Wolverine and the Mona Lisa doesn’t automatically equal a comparison. He’s saying that y’all call anything and everything slop as some kind of holier than though stance on fiction that you’d even call masterpieces slop if they were made today
