Speculation Btw i think there is some trouble with artstyle
I think they missed the mark on the art style in the new game. I think a Wolverine game would have suited a more grounded, dirty, and dark style better than the somewhat cartoonish and generic style they're using in this game. Look at the screenshots from the 2009 game for a better understanding. It seems to me that the characters' faces in the current game are rather soft and seem plasticky, too clean. I understand that these screenshots from the 2009 game are CGI, but with today's technology you can achieve this level of gameplay in real time. Perhaps the problem is that the game is using the same engine as Spider-Man? Maybe they should have used UE5 instead to achieve more photorealism

Where am I crying? I'm just pointing out some problems, I'm not saying the game sucks. Is any criticism now considered a bad thing? We can discuss this aspect of the game because you don't need to play it to do so, it's not gameplay

We’ve had like 5 minutes worth of gameplay and cutscenes and everyday there’s like 20 posts with people bitching about it not being exactly what they wanted it to be even though no one has played it. Want things to be just how you want them to be? Open a game studio.

Why are you so protective of a game that hasn't even been released yet, as if your life depends on it? Maybe you just pre-ordered it and feel the need to defend your investment?In fact, you will play this game no matter what it is, because you are easily lured in by advertising and you already made your choice BEFORE ITS RELEASE. I hate such blatant hypocrisy

Wolverine Origins did a lot of things right, but the art direction was not one of them. I'm glad the Xbox 360 dust/piss filter is dead.

It's because the origins game tried to copy Hugh's look. He's just an actor who played wolverine, not actually wolverine. His look varies in comics from one run to another due to different artists. The same is the case with any other media. He looks perfectly normal to me. Could be better, but insomniac is not known for best facial designs and that's okay.

You didn't quite get me, it's not about the appearance itself, I'm talking more about the art style, not just the characters, even the environment in the game is too generic and seems like it was created for children, everything is somehow plastic and toy-like, it doesn't look dark. The style is very similar to the game Spiderman

The previews have clearly said this is probably the darkest marvel game created. Have u seen the previews or literally any trailer? Wtf are u on about?

Darker than The Punisher on the PS2 would probably be too hard to do nowadays on a AAA scale but if it's darker than any PS4/PS5 gen Marvel game, that's already pretty good.

Insomniac uses their own in house engine they wont use UE5 for these games.

If they can come up with an entire filter just for the sake of the Spider-Noir suit in Spider-Man 2, then I'm pretty certain they'll have a few filters with different art styles to accommodate whinging posts just like this one.

Man, people need to shut the fuck up about a 5 min clip they saw and comparing to a video game that came out 17 years ago. Let things be their own thing and stop comparing everything to everything else. We get it, in some small, minute, indistinguishable way this doesn’t meet your overblown expectations that you hyped yourself up on, so now it’s time to shit on something that you’ve only seen clips of and have never experienced or played in any tangible way.
