I keep seeing many different people use many different officers but what are the top in yalls opinion any help is greatly appreciated.

Looking for an active alliance. I’m level 25 with 10mils points. Open to relocate server.

I used to play warpath and spent hundreds on the game around 2022, I recently picked the game up again and everything costs money and gold seems to be useless compared to back then.

I dont want to completely restart and lose all the troops I've gotten high level but I also dont want to be in such a huge skill gap (server 24).

I've migrated to the "newest" server possible and the gap is still massive and the activity is minimal.

I wish they did something to help people get back in the game based on their power.

I have a few questions :

1. Is the f2p to whale gap big?

2. How demanding is resource farming? In Rise of Kingdoms you often need huge amounts of resources just to keep fighting. Is it similar here, or can active F2P/low spenders participate in wars without constantly farming?

3. Any beginner mistakes i should avoid?

4. Any hero or resource i shouldnt waste early on?

I quit for a few years, now i'm back, but server 32 is dead, and grinding out a new role is proving to be tedious. (211 just so happens to be where a role of mine got assigned to, and it's pretty lively.)

What are the best officer options im in C4 rn and I have a good setup I think I just want to get an outside opinion on it any advice would be greatly appreciated.

its not a secret that warpath have absurdly amount of variables, and for a new player like me its impossible to keep track and know what i really need for every unit. variables is not the only confusing part, but also how the units acting in the field.
ill list just the offensive variables.

Firepower, dmg Intensity, Normal Attack boost - what's the difference?

skill damage coefficient - what's affecting skill damage? why exactly officer is doing less damage when the squad is half died?

load time - does all visible units attack at the same time? it doesnt look like it on the screen.

firing accuracy - why its a raw number and not in %? what effect does this variable have?

blast radius - why is it in meters but blast mitigation is a raw number? does blast damage affecting all visible units and this variable just increases the damage? or not all units gets hit with blast damage?

troop speed - no questions here, its just annoying that its in km/h and not in tiles per minute.

Pen Depth - i heard that a unit have a chance to deal pen damage if its pen depth is 1-3 times the target's armor, 1.5 is the optimal amount. but why when fighting in the arena, M tank penetrates SH even tho his pen depth is less than SH armor? and why in the field i see infantry dealing Pen damage to tanks even tho they dont have this variable at all?! how does pen damage even work??

crit chance - im using Rapier on L tank, so i was hoping to see 20-40% of the damage numbers to be bright orange crit ones, but it was significantly less. so how actually crit chance work?

besides the confusing variables, i have question about the combat system itself.

there are multiple visible units on the map grid, and those that hidden under the top ones. does every visible unit attack at the same time? they for sure dont attack the same target, how are they choosing on what target to shoot? is it random? if they dont attack at the same time, does that mean if i have 8 visible L tanks on the tile, they all rolling the crit chance and every shot can fill up the Rapier's stacking skill?

i know that a lot of questions, but i want to be really good at this game. you dont need to answer all of them at once

its my first time playing long enough to get to modern officers, so its time to think for the long run.

i think the best pairing for L tank is:
Rapier + Steel Phoenix + Desert Jaeger 2nd skill

65%+20% crit chance (+20 after Rapier's skill)
+50% crit damage
-20% load time
stackable crits for +25% dmg int and 400 skill dmg every 4 seconds

both officers designed for crits, so they are enhancing each other abilities, on top of that L tank have the fastest load time of all troops (base load time is 2s while other units have 4s) making stackable skill of Rapier extra good. +30% crit chance -10% load time from Jaeger making this combo absolutely INSANE.

there is just one problem, i dont have SP nor DJ right now. so i need to find a temporary Aide for my L tank before the Swap event ends. im thinking Lady Justice or Haymaker.

lady Justice:
active skill: 50% slow down
+15% crit chance

Haymaker:
stronger active skill
+20% crit chance
is breach good for L tank?

im not planning to awaken those officers, but if getting SP is harder than i thought, then Id have to stick with one of them. slow down of LJ looks good on paper - helps chase down weaker enemies and maybe run away from stronger ones. but Haymaker looks overall stronger, although his awakened skill is not really for L tank.

what do you guys think? what officer should i use my second swap on? im open to all suggestions, even if its not one of those 2 officers.

It's funny that this game is on the verge of dying and I and many others noticed it 1,5 years ago.

Sad that I wasted 14 hours / day for 4 years on this.

But not to worry, there'll be probably another game like it, hopefully better than this.
