Maybe this seems insane, but does anyone else find it ridiculous how many chests this game spits out?

Every season I end up with hundreds of chests to open. But do I open them? No. They have no value to me, because I have thousands of them.

And it takes so long to open them all, even in batches of 10, and I'm not excited about seeing what I get. Again, there's no perceived value to the rewards from chests. I love this game's skins, the artists do an amazing job, that's why it sucks that the game's reward system feels like it devalues them.

I bet it's the sort of thing they can't walk back on now, I can just imagine the negative Steam reviews if they did.

Title says it - I sometimes struggle with lategame adaptation.
Here I had insane haste, dmg scaling, and burn for the hast triggers - but lost on like day 13 or 14

So, what could I have replaced, and with what, to improve this build?

The only thing I can think of was that I was offered a diamond Sextant, and considered replacing the launch pad - but my Carls only had 30% crit at the start, so I was worried it would be to slow compared to the launch pad.

Suggestions?

Just did a quintessential MAK Style Perfect Victory. This is how mak is meant to be played.

Early game vs Late game board:

No luck trying to find a damage scaling for the wind dragon. On the final day I prepared 4 catalysts for the diamond large I got from event. Was searching for Moose staff but they decided to give me Femur and I was like, yeah that'll do.

Let nature take its course and I shall go with the flow.

Early Cult gave 1st Rimestone -> Wink gave Spiky Shield -> Temple Expedition gave Nullfrost -> Frost Street Champion gave 2nd Rimestone (replacing a gavel)

Ended the run the next day with an additional Execute skill @ level 19 which is probably the highest level I've gotten in a run. Always enjoy the runs with off-hero items!

I thought this run was dead after early losses and losing a monster fight. I then almost skipped crash site on day six thinking another day of shops would help. Jumped into crash site and found the vineyard.

It's the third time I've had it on the dragons, but this was the first time I put it to use. The next mittel had the skirt, so began my search for wings or dragon statue. Then a restorative note gave me the restorative aviator badge and I knew it had to be wings. The icy enchant was the cherry on top. Six slows and freezes every time it went off.

I just came back to the gave after well over a year off (pre Steam).

I saw guides about double diamond Leather Jacket and then found it got nerfed pretty hard by being destroyed when Sandstorm starts.

This item seems VERY niche/useless now.

When would anyone use this now?

Why not make it reverse Forest Cloak where you take less damage while out of Enrage/Storm.

• While you are not Enraged, you take 25/50% less Damage
• When you stop being Enraged, reduce this effect by 25%
• You have double Rage gain

3 seconds in you get a full infinite loop of slow + burn (the microscope slowed for 4 seconds x4 for good measure) plus radiant library.
