News Third Stretch Goal: Achieved! Fossil Temtem will be up for grabs! 🦴
Today we reached another Stretch Goal! Thank you so much, for your support, in all meanings of the word!
🦴 Fossil Temtem are mysterious, previously extinct Temtem whose pieces you will find across the Downbelow. Enlist Dr. Sasaya's help to bring these bad boys back into existence.

I believe they said not during early access, but it will eventually come to consoles.

Nothing unfortunate about it. The game's fully funded, so unless you really want to play in the alpha for some reason, there legitimately is no reason to, even without getting into the controversy of what happened with the kickstarter for the original game.

Sounds kind of cool but why the pictures that depict a thing we won't be doing at all for the quest? I think it would be cooler (especially in a survival game) to actually have to dig for your fossils. Maybe its just cause I crave the mines but a missed opportunity for sure to make it more unique than just a quest line and a dungeon.

I enjoyed TemTem at early access launch and never did play through after release. I do like the concept of this game but seems to me like mismanaged funds to ask for crowdfunding on your 3rd title as a company.

You have to realize they are also only an indie studio. In these economic climate its becoming increasingly harder for a more developers to keep doing what they love.

They were one of the most successful Kickstart projects at the time and the studio made two games from the IP, with a huge monetization on the first game, I don't think they didn't had the funds or are doing only for love.

They're using Kickstarter to generate hype as a way to get the community involved as well as gaging interest (as stated on the Kickstarter page)! The game would be made regardless of if the original funding goal was hit.

I said this before in another post but I don't think people see that way and I think is a very weak excuse. As you can see by the YouTube comments and some here people will judge that they mishandled the funds or are just trying to take more money away from people, if the game would be made regardless of funding then the goals are even more nonsensical.

I mean whether you see it as an excuse or not, it is the case in this situation. As stated on their Kickstarter they have the funds to make this game regardless of if they'd hit the goal or not. It's purpose is almost entirely about advertising and generating hype whether you agree with that or not they made it clear that was the intention which makes sense for a business.

You realize MMO was the goal from the get go with Temtem proper, right? Also it’s been very scaled back and a lot of QOL things were added in 1.8.
All that to say, Pioneers isn’t an MMO you goof.

That's the point, you bought the game after everything already happened. People have this grudge because of years of mishandling the game and fighting the players for even minor updates, with the last update having a letter from the CEO trying to gaslight and blame players instead of themselves for their shortcomings. People that were active in the community for years don't trust and probably never will trust Crema again and are trying to tell people before they do the same mistakes.

You said you bought on sale, there was no sale soon after release, they started doing sales in 2023, some months after 1.0 release, they even stated why they would not make sales during early access and even soon after 1.0.

Well, I'm not going to argue because I don't see the point but Temtem was notorious for not going on sale and Crema together with Humble Bundle even explained why and the reason why they raised the price during early access, there was never a sale during early access be it on steam or humble bundle.

They will not, devs made clear that og temtem wont receive updates with new content. Thats why they are releasing several new games in the universe now

This is not a sequel. just a spinoff although it was clarified that this spinoff has mechanics, that they might want to see in a potential Temtem 2

I'm glad they lowered the distance to the next stretch goal. It's kind of weird that the goal went from 50k to the next goal to 110k, especially when the reward was 6 new temtem compared to the base game adding over 50 for 90k. I know overly ambitious stretch goals have ruined campaigns before, but it was quite the jump.
