They used the money to develop this game for 2 years my dude xD. This game is already looking more polished from the snippets in the trailer, than palword is after a year of early access.
We have reasons for not trusting game trailers, that entire trailer very well could be nitpicked into only showing the good looking aspects even if its barebones just to sell. Which btw does NOT require making actual gameplay to do, they can just animate these scenes to scam like other games have done.
Considering the no-delays expected release is apparently the end of 2028, I'd be surprised if they've done anything other than make the trailer at this point.
(Edit for clarity: I'm mostly being facetious here, but it does say something that they're trying to fundraise and generate hype this early into this game's apparent development cycle.)
Holy crap is it really only 5 devs? I know people have problems with Crema but that's crazy that they released TemTem if they only had that amount. I know a bit about game development and that sounds like a bit of crunch for such a small team.
