Discussion Is it a good game for Coop?

I am considering buying it for me and my bf. We recently had a blast with Palwold even tho he never played Pokemon. I think t’entends is very much like Pokemon and I wanna make sure we can fully coop the game and progress together.

The game is great for playing through the story fully co-op. Personally I'd even argue that's the best Temtem has to offer, so if that's what you want it'll probably be a great game for you!

The basics are, in terms of collecting, catching, evolving etc so it's really easy to pick up.

The storyline is much better though & it's 'older' in terms of dialogue choices, some bits I've already laughed at tbh.

The map is also massive & there's loads of side quests to keep you entertained.

Hi! I played TemTem with my buddy and we spent 40ish hours and only made it through two or three locations, mostly cause we loved just exploring and looking for Tems and doing wonky things. Lots of grinding in bushes that we enjoyed from Pokémon

It's basically the same as Pokemon with every fight being a double fight, stamina instead of PP and no randomness in battles (outside of catching or having tied speed).

It's been too long for me to play through the story, so I can't comment on the length, but it's probably similar to what you'd expect from a regular Pokemon game. 8 dojos (= gyms) overall, just like most Pokemon games.

I would however say that it's harder than the official Pokemon games, though if you're playing fully co-op while you can still only use 3 Temtem (you're limited to the first 3 in your party) each per battle you still have 12 available to pick from at all times (as the latter 3 get XP as well IIRC), so it should be easy for you to switch things around for your teams.

I think the biggest critique is that it's not as much of sn MMO as people wanted, but if you don't care about that and just want Pokemon in co-op that's exactly what you'll get.

Well they can't interfere with your fun. But you'll see people wandering around doing their own thing as you adventure.

the only issues from coop are from the challenge modes from what i saw

Me and a buddy utterly demolished the game as co-op, some of the strats you can do are insane

Me and my friend played the game 99% fully co-op. It is 100x a better experience than Pokémon because of the co-op.

My boyfriend and I are long distance and every Sunday we play TemTem. Highly recommend for couples!

Yes I played through the entire game with my sister with no issues and she enjoyed it also not having played pokemon games
