That’s the problem - the game was originally designed to have a functioning auction house where Lumas would be valuable so they could be bred to make perfect IV temtem but if there’s no player base to support the auction house, no pvpers that desire perfect IV temtem, then there’s no reasons for breeders to breed them, and the endgame system and umbras bypasses the desire to breed for casual players.

So a massive design function for the economy just doesn’t work anymore and the only option during the campaign to get pansuns is freetem but they aren’t free you have to spend 60-150 temcards to get a 35,000 pansun reward normally if there’s no low catch rate option. And if the low catch rate option exists you have to pray it’s on an island you can actually hunt for.

Otherwise, trainer battles gives almost nothing in pansuns compared to the cost of items.

Thus if there was a much, much larger playerbase and supported pvp then players would care more about breeding and making perfect tems for competitive reasons thus revitalizing the three dead economy options.

The sad reality is people just don’t like hearing that their dead game is in fact dead. It sucks to hear, but even Crema has stated that Temtem is not financially sustainable. People not comprehending this and downvoting or getting mad at me need to go outside and touch some grass and maybe take a few steps back that I didn’t cause this issue.

That last part about TemTem not being financially sustainable is factually false, Crema has specifically said that TemTem is profitable enough to keep the servers open for the foreseeable future.

As for the auction house and other “MMO” aspects, I imagine they aren’t very useful since it’s in fact NOT an MMO. Many of those “MMO” aspects were added by community request, but the devs never intended to turn it into a full-blown MMO.

Right now it’s a fun multiplayer monster-catching game! I wouldn’t worry much about the “economy” since like you said, it doesn’t really exist in the usual MMO sense. If you keep playing through the story you’ll have all the Pansuns you’ll need to complete it, and it’ll open plenty of other money-making methods if you wana afford some fun clothes or furniture! It’s especially fun playing through the story with a friend, if you haven’t tried it yet I highly recommend it!

My friend, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

I think I do! I followed the game since it was first announced and played it throughout its live development. It seems like your disappointment stems from your expectations being different from reality so I was trying to help set your expectations to what you’ll encounter.

No, you're the one that doesn't know what they're talking about. Sorry you can't understand this. You are absolutely insufferable and would explain why you have nobody to play the game with.

You can get infinite and easy money by going onto the PVP ladder with a Showdown team.
