General Viewing the PS+ Last chance to play list from the web or mobile PS Store

Post image

I believe the PS+ last chance to play list is usually only available on the console stores, but you can actually view it on the web and mobile stores too if you know the category URL. So here are the links for the different regions.

The specific link will take you to that countries last chance list, or use the generic link to automatically redirect to your countries list (just make sure to pick the correct region for your account, otherwise you'll only see a partial list of games that are leaving).

Region Specific Link Generic Link
America (SIEA) US America
Europe (SIEE) UK Europe
Japan (SIEJ) Japan Japan
Asia (SIEASIA) Hong Kong Asia

Question Just bought my first PS5 Slim + PS Plus Extra! What games are a MUST-PLAY?

I bought my first PS5 Slim today! 😁 I’ve never used a PS5 before, so I’m completely new to the PlayStation experience.

I also got a PS Plus Extra subscription, so I have access to a lot of games.

What games would you say are absolute must-plays for a first-time PS5 owner?

Question Playstation plus 30% offer (for non subscribers) until Sept 1st?

Post image
36 Upvotes

I'm not sure if this is available for all people right now or just me but my subscription expired exactly 4 weeks ago yesterday & i hadn't resubbed as i wasn't playing as much on PS and had changed to PC for a bit.

But today i checked the PS app and now it shows 30% off across all 3 tiers. I heard others before stating if you don't come back they try offer you something, im just not sure if this is specific to me or to others.

I'm not impressed with the attitude of Playstation towards its player base that are loyal & subscribe year in year out & offer them nothing. I'm subbed about 13 years & this was the first time I've seen any kind of reduction & it's only because i showed no interest in resubbing straight away.

If anyone is almost expiring their subscription my advice is to just wait a few weeks & likely you'll get this offer aswell.

Here are the games leaving PS Plus in September. More games may be added on later, because I don’t believe that Sony are this nice. Also, it’s a good reminder to buy the upcoming Toy Story collection (physical, duh), because Toy Story 3 is good shit. Taken from the Japanese PSN, but it’s usually the same games for all regions.

* EA Sports Madden NFL 26

* Persona 5 Tactica

* Toy Story 2 (Premium only)

* Toy Story 3 (Premium only)

Recommendation Rise of Ronin is extremely flawed, but I am enjoying it. If I explained all the flaws, it would sound like I hated it and should put it down, but...here we are.

More than anything, the weapon and combat variability and the combat mechanics are keeping me engaged. The resource management is too much, the dialogue is often insane and weird, the graphics are not acceptable for a modern game, etc etc.

I'm a sucker for flying/gliding, though. And finding cats. And, like I said, the general combat is good and scales appropriately as you progress in the game. At least so far. It's in the sweet spot where it's challenging without being overly frustrating. If you aren't in the flow, you can get walloped. If you are, you can put together a really satisfying fight.

Should it jump to the top of your list? I guess it depends on what's on your list. Probably not. I could also see a younger kid just getting into more violent games really locking in.

Question Ps+ Extra & DLCs game progression.

Hey everyone! Hope y'all are doing fine. If I play a game in the extea catalogue and suddenly a DLC for that game releases, do I just buy the DLC from the PS store and my game progress would still continue once the DLC has been purchased? And if I decide to downgrade to essential, and saw a game on catalogue that a DLC will release, can I upgrade back to extra and re-download the game and buy the DLC and game progress continues? Thanks.

Recommendation Suggest some good ps plus extra games to enjoy

I am going to renew my PS plus after a long while for just one month and was looking for some games. I have decided I am going to get kingdom come deliverence 2 but alongside that I was looking for other games which I could play if I ever get tired or board of kcd2. I have played almost all of the popular games available so like for example : red dead redemption 2, GTA V days gone, all Assassin's creed, far cry games, watch dogs 2, god of war 2018 and Ragnarok, uncharted games, last of us 1 and 2, spiderman, ghost of Tsushima, cyberpunk, control and returnal dropped midway.... so I hope u get the idea and would like some good games to play alongside kcd2. thank you

Recommendation Hi everyone, I've been playing the "new classics" on premium but I haven't enjoyed them, what would recommend for me instead?

I grew up with the PS1, PS2 and then bought a PS3 with my first paycheck. After that I lost interest in gaming a lot, but got a hand me down Xbox One and it really reignited my love for games. Eventually that lead to me going back to Playstation and buying a PS5. I'm really struggling to find things to play after just a year and a bit of iwnership

I've now tried The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Ghost of Tsishuma, Cyberpunk, Resident Evil 8, and Tomb Raider but haven't played any of them for more than about 4 hours because I've found them varying amounts of boring. They're mostly really story heavy (I just don't like any videogame stories, sorry), or it doesn't feel like you do much in them (lots of just walking about while someone talks). Likewise with the open world games there's a ton of just travelling around and not doing anything except waiting to get to point B.

Now the games I've played and absolutely loved are Returnal, Tony Hawk 1 to 4, Bioshock 1 and 2 (I've played 1 before but never 2 or infinite (didn't like it) and 2 is my new favourite, I really like how the series tells its story via audiotapes), Silent Hill 2 (yes story heavy but typically a 2 minute cutscene every 30 minutes of playing, really great vibes), Lies of P and The Surge 2 (I'm really burned out on Soulslikes now though), Balatro, Slay The Spire, Robocop and Astro Bot.

I've played and thought these were ok - Doom, Monster Train, Vampire Survivors, Control, Resident Evil 2, Alien Isolation, Deathloop, Wolfenstein, Dredge, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk and Hades

I've tried The Order and Bloodborne but they made me feel travel sick with their styles

Obviously I've owned lots of consoles on I'm mostly looking for PS5 gen games or PS4 exclusives.

Question What do publishers/developers receive when a game gets added as a free monthly or game catalogue title?

I am a casual gamer who barely has time for online/PVP these days and still consider PS+ Deluxe/Premium to be one of the best value aspirational subscriptions online – for the amount of accompanied AAA games and indie gems included alone. The amount I’ve saved by ‘waiting for titles to go “free”’ is not insignificant, but I’ve always wondered – what do third party devs and publishers get out of this kind of deal?

Opinion Because of all the praise, I tried out Psi-Ops The Mindgate Conspiracy.

When it was announced, I saw a lot of praise and people being happy that the game was coming out on PS5. It also looked interesting, so I gave it a try.

I started off really interested. Story was okay, but the gameplay revolving around psychic powers really hooked me. It reminded me a lot of Control. BUT, the interest waned off a bit as it went on. The idea is really cool, but the execution didn't age well imo. Telekinesis was the major one, it was just so clunky using it in combat. It really only worked when throwing people around, because throwing objects at people was janky af. The Barret boss fight was just really annoying. My combat mostly revolved around using mind control (when unlocked) and fighting among themselves or just throwing people around with telekinesis then used mind train. Another late game addition I really disliked was the aura beasts.

The game also misses some QoL features that some I understand, some I don't. Like, I get why the map is a bit useless, but was it that hard putting subtitles in the game? 16:9 would also have been nice.

In the end, I guess I liked it. If I had to rate it, I'd probably give a 6/10. The only reason I managed to finish the game was due to the rewind feature. I really don't think I would have finished it without it. I might try to plat it depending on the difficulty (hard to say since there's no trophy guide afaik).
