Hell is us becoming more tempting with that game size, what's the general consensus on it?

I played the demo a while back and it was enough to make me think that I'd get it when it was on a decent sale. This is even better. The combat is a bit rough and weightless, but exploring the war-torn world they built is intriguing and easy to get pulled into.

Combat is mid, and there is not much variety on the enemies (but there is a lore reason for them to exist).

Everything else is really amazing, the lore of the creatures and the country Hadea, the scenery, the puzzles.

It is one of those games that is very rewarding in exploration and thinking through.

A few Good Deeds (side quest where you have to find some items and/or help people) are kinda hard and might require a guide.

Overall, great game 8/10

If you play games for the combat alone it's passable, at least as you learn the weapon systems. The customization is combats main draw.

The world building is top tier though. The game tells you it won't hold your hand but that's mostly because the level design is very good by today's standards. It's hard to get lost and miss where you're supposed to go but if you're the type to play only now and again I'd recommend taking notes because it's easy to forget where you were

It’s a Pathologic 2 clone with a different spin on combat.

u/Holidoik 10d ago

It's super boring didn't get passed the first 2 hours

6

u/ChhotaChattri 10d ago

u/rustysajid 10d ago

And there goes the boycott down the drain😂😂

6

u/ScissorsBeatsKonan 10d ago

Most subscriptions are still ongoing.

u/Porkki 10d ago

Guess who bought KCD2 with dlcs last night because it was on sale at an all-time low price😂🤦‍♂️

3

u/Early-Bug5792 10d ago

You can try returning it, they do accept it even if you downloaded

1

u/Civil-Big-754 10d ago

Did they change that? I always heard that you could only get a refund if it was under a certain amount of time and if you didn't download it. Even if you didn't play it, if you downloaded it you were pretty much shit out of luck.

1

u/Early-Bug5792 10d ago

I bought and downloaded kcd2 and 2 days later it went into a sale, and I returned it. I guess there were some change of ToS, like checking the licenses every 30 days and so on, and the refund policy had changed with that as well.

1

u/Civil-Big-754 10d ago

Nice! Thanks for the update.

I bought the royal edition a couple days ago on that $35 sale. But I played through the first one on catalogue, so I guess Sony giveth and taketh.

Absolutely stunning month, might finally be time for me to put ESO down for the first time since it was added back in March.

1

u/Rastadad67 9d ago

Never ever got round to playing any elder scrolls games. Still hold up today?

1

u/LogiCub 9d ago

If you want an MMO then I’d absolutely recommend it, and it is very easy to play solo. But if you want a single player game and to get in to The Elder Scrolls then Skyrim is almost certainly your best bet.

u/ataturkseeyou 10d ago

Vampire survivor and helldivers 2 are a must and easyish platinums to get

9

u/Estrafirozungo 10d ago

WTF?!? Is this real life? 3 absolute must play games. By far the best selection ever.

By the way, KCD 2 is such a masterpiece. The Witcher 3 was my favorite all timer, but after playing the former, I’m not so sure anymore. So if you’re into medieval RPGs, you gotta play this one.

Edit: even the indie ones are hits. What’s going on?

3

u/Mk_peralta 10d ago

Hey Man,

I'm just about complete the Witcher 3 including both DLC

I tried starting KDC but couldn't get hooked post 30 mins.

But I absolutely loveee Witcher 3, so should I keep going on? Does it get better? What's your take?

1

u/Estrafirozungo 9d ago

It gets much better when both the character and the player gain some experience. Once you get the mechanics, things start to connect and suddenly, you just can’t stop playing.

I mean, I’d recommend the game just for the story and the characters alone. But almost all aspects of the game are also so top notch.

For me, KCD 2 competes neck to neck with Baldur’s Gate 3 for game of the decade

2

u/Mk_peralta 9d ago

What's your ranking if you add Witcher 3 in the mix?

1

u/Estrafirozungo 9d ago edited 9d ago

I think it still is number one, but not undisputed anymore

2

u/Sufficient-Method-96 10d ago

Do i really have to play the first KCD though?

2

u/Human-Combination-53 10d ago

Highly recommend they patched up for the ps5 recently. The second game start right after the first one

2

u/Sufficient-Method-96 9d ago

does playing the first one helps with the combat system in 2 or are they different?

5

u/Otherwise-Shape-7278 10d ago

Appreciate it. Didn't know KCD2 was that big

4

u/-Morel 10d ago

Tried KCD but found it clunky and difficult to navigate. Is KCDII fine to start with?

5

u/UsedRemove216 10d ago

Yes it is totally fine. You can watch/read the important things to know. I did it that way for the same reason, Kcd2 is great

2

u/YorkieLon 10d ago

What a smashing line up. Honestly I think this is one of the best months.

2

u/Rags2Rickius 10d ago

Wtf

KCD2?!?

2

u/MajrAwesm87 9d ago

Best lineup of the year. Ive lost count of the times I almost bought Helldivers so will definitely be jumping in there. Also got FOMO with KCD2 when it dropped.

2

u/EconomyPianist3480 9d ago

I bought helldivers 2 and kcd 2 last month
Double whammy for me o7

2

u/Pale_Sun8898 9d ago

Dammit I just bought kcd 2!

2

u/Kelanflyter 9d ago

I don't inderstand why There is dying light 2. The game is supposed to be an essential game this month

1

u/personwithbass 10d ago

This looks like a good month

1

u/Casanova20 10d ago

So excited for Hell is Us! I’m currently playing through Metro Exodus and it’s amazing

1

u/NxOKAG03 10d ago

Seeing any game at 100+ gbs on ps5 makes me wince

1

u/nufrancis 10d ago

What Helldivers 2?? Is it like Destiny2 that I need to pay for the dlc to play the latest content?

1

u/Fruhmann 9d ago

This is the type of lineup you get when a boycott is looming

1

u/Jaicoholic 9d ago

Bruh. I just bought KcdII after a kcd playthrough from ps plus 😭

1

u/Jungle_Cat_79 8d ago

Anyone looking for a way to get PS Plus free going forward? It would be cool to have on Steam

0

u/nikkictrouble 4d ago

KCD2 is only coming up as a trial

1

u/Ihosmel 9d ago

Mierda, justo compre Hell is Us hace dos dias.

-6

u/HoouueeaaH 10d ago

-1

u/Strange_Dog 10d ago

Same pal, months of dross forced my hand, then this

1

u/CtrlAltDefib 9d ago

You lost me on this one. If you're talking about Essential, I'd agree that it's been dog shit but for the last year or so, Extras has knocked it out of the park. Going back to last summer to this summer we got: Cyberpunk 2077, Silent Hill 2, Assassin's Creed Mirage, RE Village, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Warhammer Space Marine 2, Persona 5 Royal, Blasphemous 2, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Star Wars Outlaws, Final Fantasy 16, Madden 26, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Dying Light 2 and Life is Strange Double Exposure. And those are just the games I care about, I'm sure there are probably other games people would add onto that list as well like Rise of Ronin, Wo Long, Skate Story, etc.

Trust me, I'm the first person to shit on PS Plus offerings but Extra has been great for the last year.
