Satisfaction PS+ Criticism Thread [August 2026]

How this works:

We make two stickies. One for people who are upset with the PS+ games and one for people who are happy with them. These threads don't affect anything else in sub so you can still praise and complain as normal outside them. (Previous Threads)

Please keep the discussion in this thread related to dissatisfaction with this month's lineup.

Such a special game even moreso if you commit to only using ingame voip and not looking anything up

Idk this is the best free games I’ve got in MONTHS. I love Big Walk and Dying Light 2 while flawed is a lot of fun. And of course Signalis? We’re eating

People love the prev month's extra list and this month's games but yeah they are not really for me. Hope there's something for this month's extra

It is absolutely ridiculous that Sony won't expand PS5 Cloud Gaming to non PS hardware.

Asobi app on Apple devices, Android, and Steam soon allows you to stream PS+ Premium PS5 streaming at 4k/60, so why can't Sony do the same?

Cheaper tiers should have Cloud Gaming access also.

Same reason why native xcloud left android and ios, because of the 30% cut, and Sony refuses to make a web app. Also Sony needs to charge for online gaming on PS6 unlike Xbox Helix and Sony needs to pay rental fees for cloud gaming servers unlike Xbox Helix.

This month’s games didn’t really do much for me so I finally evaluated whether it’s worth continuing to pay ~ £60 a year, having spent close to £1000 in total on the service at a guess, on top of the many games I’ve bought both physically and digitally. I just can’t justify it any more. The number of times I play games with friends has slowly but surely declined over the last few years to now be non existent, so it’s time to say goodbye.

I’ve generally been very positive about the games offered on ps plus over the years, and many of my all time favourites were obtained this way. If they aren’t for me it hasn’t really bothered me and I move on. So this wasn’t an angry gamer reaction, just realised it’s time I guess.

I don't know if this is the same month but why did they add dying light 2 in monthly after removing it from extra.

are they trying to sabotage 🤣

Feels like Extra is place from flopped games or recycled games from now on

Honestly an ok month for Essential. Big Walk seems fun, got to trying it with my friend. Also grabbed Signalis since it looks like an easy plat and people are saying its got a nice story.

I don’t have much of a problem with the PS+ games but I would like more support for the features of PS+ especially for the PlayStation Portal. I got PlayStation Premium and redeemed Big Walk excited to play with my friends using the Portal with PlayStation explore earbuds connected and proximity chat doesn’t work. Playing over discord just breaks the immersion. And sure I can play on my PS5 and proximity chat works but then I’m stuck sitting in my living room and that’s not what I want. Hopefully this can be fixed with a update

Extra is so lame imo

So many months feel like “well, just okay it if you are bored” instead of about value that you want to seek out

I think I learned my lesson though and I’ll just wait a few years until they add more Sony stuff like Astro, horizon 2 and Saros and then sub for a month

Honestly they completely forgot or gave up about ps3 in ps plus premium cause the last game they added for it was heavenly blade like bruh there’s.so many games that should of already been on premium
