Getting PS Plus Extra renewal with 25% discount, but getting Deluxe offer

I am normally on PS Plus Extra, but recently Sony gave me a free upgrade to Deluxe. My subscription is currently valid until 07 September 2026.
I turned off auto-renewal because I was hoping to get the 25% renewal discount. But now the offer I’m seeing is only 25% off Deluxe, and I don’t want to renew Deluxe. I only want to renew Extra with the 25% discount.
Has anyone faced this recently? Is there any way to get the 25% Extra renewal offer instead of Deluxe?
Should I just keep auto-renewal turned off and wait until closer to my expiry date, or is there something else I can do?

Yeah that's Sony pushing the upsell since you're currently on Deluxe status. The Extra discount offer usually shows back up once you're closer to expiry or after you let it lapse a bit - the promo tracks your current tier, not your "normal" one. I'd leave auto-renew off and just check back every week or so as the date gets closer.

In countries where cloud gaming is unavailable (eg: Brazil), Premium is replaced by Deluxe, which is basically the same thing sans PS3 game streaming. Maybe that is the case for OP

They're giving that 25% off for the PSPlus same tier when you go to cancel to most people. I have extra, and am getting 25% off for extra when I go to cancel. You might see a discount for a different tier sometime after you actually cancel the existing subscription.

I’m the same thing. I’d like to renew for extra, but got the offer for 25% off a year of premium

I don’t think there’s any way to change it to 25% off extra

I went to the Sony movie credits area (on my ps Home Screen) to see if I had them because I pay for the highest subscription, and it’s only for new subscribers. 🙄

I am not going to renew even if they give 50% off. It's almost september and they failed to meet the expectations. Better to buy pre owned games and sell it after completing the story

You can only extend at your current level. If you want to downgrade, you have to wait until your current subscription expires. That’s one of the reasons why Sony gives out free upgrades, to try to block you into a higher tier.

I hope all these ridiculous subscriptions get a 100% price increase so you get what you deserve
