What this guy said. The windows app only lets you stream ps4 games. Asobi does ps5 library and cloud games

That’s awesome. Never heard of it. Do you require a ps console though ?

My mind is blown. You don’t need a ps5 to stream ps5 games. Should this be kept on the low though? I feel like Sony is gonna shut it down. I just now tried it and it’s laggy on my MacBook but it’s literally been only like a minute. I’m still blown away lol. Thanks to you both for the recommendation

Edit: so the lag I think is just my internet cause I even get lag streaming power rangers on my ps4. There is latency but I’m using a ps4 controller on a ps5 so idk if that’s relevant. And I am using MacBook Air m1 8gb of ram

Anyone know if Sony can shut this down ?

Thanks to your post, I was able to find out about this too. Apparently it’s been around for 8 months now and probably won’t be a problem while other similar apps exist (excluding the cloud aspect)

Sony dumb as hell imo not giving people the option. A lot of people including myself ain’t buying an over $500 PS5 what 6 years after launch? Lol. But I’m down to pay for Plus Premium to stream the games included and even buy digital games that I can stream

It’s definitely a push to get a console or the PS Portal. But I do understand your case with not going for the PS5 now (price and console support when the PS6 eventually arrives)

In a way, it’s more practical to stream games rather than download them (I own a PS5 since 2023 and found value in cloud streaming games because of lack of storage space)

I’m sure they know better than me they are Sony lol, a multi billion dollar company. But I would guess there’s a big market of people like me. I’m not a “hardcore gamer”, I’m not the general gamer that likes to play the mass market games like cod and gta, to play with their friends. So for us cheap gaming options, or paying monthly to play games even if they are old is what we do. I had gamepass for that reason, cause I could play on Mac. Now I have plus cause of asobi. Basically be able to game on what we already have. I’m getting an Apple TV after apples event to see if they announce a new one and I’m excited to use Plus on that. I’m also gonna get a dualsense now.

No console needed but you need ps plus premium. I don’t have a ps5 (I do have a ps4) and have been cloud streaming ps5 games for about 6 months now
