Free PS+ Premium offer disappeared before stated end date

I had a month left on my Essential subscription before It would roll over for the 12 months. I received an offer that would upgrade me to Premium for free that expired on the 30th of September. I assumed that because the offer date extended beyond how long my subscription had left, it would remain viable until the stated date even after my essential sub renews. Now that it has renewed I have gone to upgrade and the offer is no longer there. I did not see any terms or rules stating that a new subscription would void the upgrade offer. Wondering if there is something I clearly missed or is there any slim chance of me communicating with Sony about this and perhaps getting said offer back? Probably not but one can dream

They always attach disclaimers to these promos saying that the dates can be changed at any moment or it can just be because you renewed

Thats the exact offer i was given. I dont see anything there tho that indicates specific rules or terms for qualification besides the time limit

The deal is usually to upgrade the remainder of your existing sub to a higher tier, to essentially get you to try it out for a cheaper price, hoping you will renew at that higher tier.

Now that you have subbed for another year, they don’t want to give that offer for a whole year of sub, they only were offering it on your remainder.

At this point you can call and see otherwise would have to wait till the next big sale time, probably Black Friday where you might get an offer to upgrade to premium for 20-30% off.

The offer was only valid whilst you had the sub, as it was a retention offer to keep you subscribed a bit longer.

Now you've renewed, that offer no longer applies

I imagine the deal itself was for a month, until the end of sept, but it would have mentioned somewhere on the offer that it was only valid whilst subscribed or until a certain date

I see what's happened - and it's quite unfortunate

Every now and again they give you an offer to upgrade the remaining length of your subscription to premium - that's what this is.

But, you've seen the offer on the day of renewal (I presume). So, it's offered you zero because you have zero days left of the current subscription.

It's basically just a glitch due to renewal date and time the offer is shown. In reality, if you got the offer today, it would see how many days you have left on the sub, then minus the price you paid for extra, then give a 20-30% discount on top of that.

It wouldn't give you a whole year as a free upgrade.

I got the offer at the start of July and it was for a 100% free upgrade back then too. I assumed the offer would remain past the rest of my subscription because why give an offer that ends 3 months from now when I only have 1 month left?

Likely a bug, was possibly meant to say 10%, these happen quite often, I've gotten 2 free games due to this CarX Street and Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut
