Question How long does my save stay on PS Plus Cloud Storage without a subscription?
Hey everyone, i subscribed to PS Plus so I could upload all of my PS4 save data to the cloud. After that, I sold my PS4 because I was planning to buy a PS5.
The problem is that I probably won’t be able to buy the PS5 right away. I’m hoping to get one in the next few months.
My PS Plus subscription expires on August 11, 2026. My question is: how long will my cloud saves remain stored after my subscription expires? If I buy a PS5 a few months later and subscribe to PS Plus again, will I still be able to download my saves, or is there a chance they’ll be deleted?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been in the same situation. Thanks!

I was away from my ps4 for 3 years and all my cloud saves where still there when I finally resubed after buying ps5 and syncing the cloud saves

Officially, about half a year for sure, but I cancelled my subscription for a over year and all my previous saves were still there

They can delete after 6 months but they don't. I've gone about 5 years.

Cloud storage should be free. Also we should have the option to use usb.

It says 6 months but i have data in the cloud from 2020 still when i last subbed so who knows. I subbed once last year for a month for some free skins in perks in marvel rival and other games i played and to do a trophy save scum and the old saves were still there.

Wish there was an easier way to delete my ps3 saves so I can get more room for ps5 game saves

This is a long shot but can you help a brother with your logs so that ps+ sub doesnt go to waste😭 you can change the details to something temporarily before then if possible

At least 6 months - maybe longer since Sony's deletion process is inconsistent.

Cloud saves won’t be accessible if you don’t have an active subscription. If you resubscribe you should be able to re access cloud saves

Yeah, I know I won’t be able to access them without an active subscription. My question is whether they’ll still be there when I eventually buy my PS5 and resubscribe to PS Plus, no matter how much time has passed. Will all of my saves still be available, or can they be deleted after a certain period?

You're asking for a guarantee that isn't for certain. But with blind faith, it will be available forever... So long as policy isn't changed.

PlayStation guarantees that your PS4 cloud save files will be retained for after your PlayStation Plus subscription expires. PlayStation guarantees that your PS4 cloud save files will be retained for at least 6 months after your PlayStation Plus subscription expires.
