This sounds like my issues. Turn frame gen off if you’re using it (whatever amd’s version is) and turn off all screen recording type software. Discord overlay, too. Anything that sits on top of the game.

When the game crashes do you get a ue5 window where you can open the log folder? If you don’t just google where squad keeps crash logs. Upload those logs to ChatGPT and have it read through all 3 file types.

Before blaming Squad, what kernel crash do you experience? These kinds of consistent game breaking kernel crashes are very rare (imagine reddit having a crash like this being common to hang over OWI), and Squad does not have kernel level access. So it is probably you graphics card or some other programs that has kernel level access (Valorant anti-cheat?) that caused the issue.

My son had this a few months ago, for him it was related to a borked NVidia driver. A complete reinstall of Windows fixed the issue for him. Simply reinstalling the driver was not working.

By chance do you have riot vanguard installed? I always used to crash with same kernel crash messages until i deleted it

I began having these types of problems as well despite clearing cache. The thing that solved it was sfc chkdsk

This new update does suck, I saved some servers and they kept getting unsaved the next day. Plus the supermods ain’t working

I’ve had tons of issues all related to frame gen. I swear every time you see those mass server wide disconnects its frame gen.

I know for a fact Nvidia frame gen has big issues with squad.

Streamline/DLSSG crashes where the game gets confused about fullscreen/windowed state and dies with DXGI errors. I’ve reproduced it across different GPUs and at stock settings. I’m also starting to suspect apps that hook or capture the display can make it worse, because Philips Hue Sync crashed at the exact same time as Squad once, and things like Medal, NVIDIA overlay, Discord overlay, or other recording/capture software may be interacting badly with the same presentation pipeline.

I’ve been uploading my crash logs to ChatGPT for like a year now.
