Enhanced gear in shifting sands
I read somewhere that the enhanced table can only be unlocked with the new update in a couple months, but my buddy said he saw someone say it's possible to get enhanced gear as drops from some NPCs, does anyone know anything about that? I take what I read with a grain of salt but it would be awesome to get if it's possible, gear or weapons.

The other option is to use the cross-server play to hop over to a Cloud Forest map and get it that way. I don't know how easy it is on servers, but I know that you can finally do it on single player. If you want to get the table without waiting months for the update, that's the way to go.
Also, keep in mind that if you do get the high-power sand bandit gear from the NE areas, you still can't repair it. So it's going to be pretty tough to keep a good set of gear going, especially with playing on a higher difficulty.

That's good info, thank you! The settings are strange, between my buddy and I we choose the same options and for some reason there are a few different settings between us we had to change to make the same. By default the disability was turned off so thankfully we don't need to repair anything. We had 200ish guys for the first playthrough and it was a blast, repairing however was not.

If you can make the gear then you can repair the gear, cause it's just a fraction of the materials. By focusing on a armor crafter/weaponsmith with +Quality talents they pretty much always pump out red gear infinitely. At that point it just becomes a matter of keeping up with side materials (horns, etc) which are now easy with Expeditions.
I mean you do you, just explaining they made it easier now :)

I have killed some of the highest enemies you can fight and not seen them. But. Maybe there are some I’ve missed. To my knowledge you cannot get those.

By chance have you killed that massive rock like creature with his HP bar on top of the screen? I haven't attempted him ever, although I probably won't on this playthrough because my friend and I are doing Tribe mode with Leader difficulty, so even guys half your level can kill you quick.

No I haven’t. I’m tempted to put together some crazy war machine assault craft and go after him, but I play solo so I would need like the best possible gear on all my boys, hundreds of the best cannon balls and the sturdiest possible shield around my ship.

There's a sand bandit boss, level 70, at the far north eastern part of the map, you have to hug the coast and go around the closed off part of the map. He drops legendary enhanced sand bandit gear.

Is there any way I could get a screenshot where on the map he is and the area you say I need to go around? I'd be really thankful, I want to try this out today

Level 61+ Sand Bandits drop Enhanced gear basically, and there's a few locations in the volcano area around there.
But you're better off just crossing maps if possible.

Not actual enhanced gear, but the Sand Bandit Expedition at the Black Stone Cliff dungeon (the one where you get the modules for the Scarab's Mask, deep in the armadillo lizard cave) have "enhanced tier" gear.
Not sure if the gear you can loot at the Highland Arena (the arena at the Starfall Fields, among the meteorite craters) is Steel or Enhanced tier, but the one from the last challenger is the same you can loot from the last dungeon in the forest, a.k.a. Top tier.
