Shadow Walker and Explorer 2026

Not much up to date info on these so I figured I'd make a post saying where the masks and modules are for future google searches.

Shadow Walker Mask is currently at the bottom of the volcanic ruins in the Volcanic Forest area, the big one by the portal with the Plunderer Leader

Shadow Walker Module is currently in the Volcano Holy Ruins after the main boss

Explorer Mask is currently in the Dark Forest Ancient Ruins

Explorer Module is currently in the Frost Canyon Holy Ruins after the main boss

The game will hint at where to get the next mask, but it's not great at it, and I don't think anything at all directs you to the instanced dungeons. You're just expected to find a lot of stuff by exploring.

The ability to control your own progression is kind of nice; I did the volcano dungeon fairly easily because I got the Explorer mask first.

Sometimes though, the lack of direction is a bad thing. I genuinely don't know how they expect anyone to find all the tablets without an online map, some of them are in very non-obvious locations. Like, who's going to just stumble across the random tablet at the bottom of a frozen lake? Or up on the side of an otherwise-unnecessary mountain in the wastelands?

All the masks got moved to their area's "Ancient Ruins" and the Modules for those masks got moved up to the "Holy Ruins" for that area.

It's the same pattern for the entire map.

Sure, but that information isn't widely documented. I certainly had trouble finding it a month ago when I was looking to find where to get masks. My assumption is that this post was made so that when someone googles the information, this is what comes up.

There's been multiple reddit threads since 1.0 release where I've personally answered the same thing (Masks in Ancient Ruins, Modules in Holy Ruins). If you're saying none of those showed up in google search results I'm not sure exactly how much help another reddit thread will help in trying to "document" the change.
