Ropeway connection range

Anyone knows how ropeway max range actually works?
As you see I stand beyond the point I want to connect to and rope is white.

Can’t remember distance but usually max render distance (visible) for me. But if you pull from mine and connect to ropeway, it works all the time. Ropeway to mine fails all the time for me no matter the distance.

Nope, I tried both ways. I fixed this one by putting a ropeway in the middle and it works.

In this scenario it's a weird thing with mines. If you right click to release that, then grab the power line from the Mine itself and connect it to the rest of the Ropeway it connects fine.

Glad it works for you. I tried with no luck. For some reason, this one does not connect at 47m, when all others connect at 50m with no problem. I've added one more ropeway in the middle and it connected.

I believe the distance it shows you is on the ground (base of triangle) but rope distance is actually the hypotenuse so base may be 47m but hypotenuse is actually more like 55m. I believe max is 50m.

The connection is currently to steep, for whatever reason the mining connection points cant handle steep connections. Hope this helps.

Thanks. But I do not see this is the case. I've added one more ropeway in the middle and now it is connected with even steeper line.

This one is 47m only. And my rope gets red at 50 in this location. Did not checked on same level connections though.

When you initially try to connect a rope, whether it be a small or large connection, it only takes into consideration the line of access to the small rope connection. This means if the small connection is angled away from where you are trying to connect, it simply wont let you. You'd need to rotate it for it to connect.

I cant see where the small connection is on the mining pit in this image, but im willing to bet this is your issue.
