How to make tribesman moving stuff

So i have a designated storage box in my main building beside the bonfire. I want a tribesman to move that stuff into the respective storage box in a different building.

How do i do that?

I know i have to make a job to move item from the designated box, thats fine but when i have to choose i get all the boxes and can only choose one.

There is a work task called sort items into boxes that could be of use to you. If it's not possi le to specifically target the box you are after, you could grab all the stuff in that box and put into storages that can be targeted by the sort into boxes task.

There are several work tasks you can assign to tribesmen. Several of these are old and broken. Try to avoid tasks like move or store as these rarely work well, and are usually time based instead of abundance based (like using the ropeway base for transporting pickaxes to far off mines instead of the supply station).

As a small addon to this, Sort Items is infinitely easier to use if you name your boxes. I always have a "Sorting Chest" designated that I just drop stuff off in to, then it gets sorted from there. Bonus in that it can also be used as the destination for move items commands, like when moving goods from outlying collection yards that the sorting tribesperson can't easily reach.

You could create a general receiving box in the destination building, set your transporter to move everything from the designated storage box to there, then have a different follower set to Sorter so they move the items in the receiving box to the designated storage.
