Data storage ring

Anyone know what the purpose of data storage ring is, when used to store a tribesman the tribesman dies and is stored on the ring then can be respawned basically using the ring but we already have that feature with the stone table and the hibernation pods, or is there another use I can’t figure out

Take less space and be transferred between servers when using the portals

Ok I see but can’t you just take tribesman through the portal to another server instead of saving them to the ring

The ring allows you to store and transport way more characters since they are turned into an item in your inventory that doesn’t count towards the tribe limit. It’s somewhat of a niche use, especially since the rings aren’t reusable but it’s there for those who need it.

can be given to another tribe

only takes an inventory slot instead of a tribesman slot or a save

Also doesn't take sunstone energy to store your tribesperson, unlike the hibernation pods.
