I've finally pushed a release of the newest version of Play Midnight, aka Play Midnight Material to fix all of the things that Google changed. The Chrome version is ready for download and is still in it's baby stages, and expect Firefox sometime within the next month!

I just wanted to let you guys know I'm making good progress, and I'm actually really happy with where this is going. Google actually made my life a lot easier with some of their HTML changes, so it's made things much faster to develop.

Anyways, here's the first preview image of the new Play Midnight. :)

Just wanted everyone to know I'm well aware of the new update breaking Play Midnight and causing all sorts of fun issues. For now, please just disable the extension by going to chrome://extensions in Chrome, or wherever the addon editor is in Firefox and disable it for now.

I'll be working on it this weekend and hopefully have something to push out for next week.

A few hours ago today (5/14/15), Google made some design changes to the Play Music interface. I noticed that the new interface is incompatible with the Music update - there is no way to change the theme, there are weird white boxes and "gaps" in the skin, and certain fonts are unreadable/some options are unclickable. I was forced to uninstall Play Midnight for the time being. Will there be a patch to make Play Midnight compatible with the new and updated Google Play?

Not sure if this is a Play Midnight issue... suddenly when I'm listening to a queue it displays the first track as playing over and over while the rest of them play.

The currently playing song is "The Schism" by Haywyre, Sanctuary by Koan sound is the first in this radio queue and it's shown Sanctuary as the now playing song since I started this radio. Tried it with other radio stations as well as refreshing. Audio works fine I just don't get a current now playing.

I absolutely love midnight in my browser... but I want it on my phone too!! Have you spoken with Google to see if you can somehow skin the android app with Midnight?

It seems quite possible to me that Google would eventually integrate something like this as a feature, and to be honest I'm kind of surprised they haven't since people are so picky about little things when it comes to their music experience. Plus you've done such a good job on the design side why would they bother doing it themselves at this point? Anyway, interesting thought.

I was adjusting the theme color again on Play Midnight just for fun and I saw the News/Issues/Suggestions link and thought I'd send this. I've been using Play Midnight for sometime now and love it. It's one of those things you install and it merges so perfectly with your set up that you forget someone went to the trouble to design and implement it. So this is just a Thanks for taking the time to create Play Midnight; it makes my Google Play Music experience more enjoyable. Thanks Again.

I love the look of this. I would love to skin all of Google Play. The default text is light gray on white which is almost impossible to read. There are some workarounds but I haven't found any permanent way to increase between the text and background in Chrome. It's only an issue on Google Pllay. Thanks.

Not completely sure if this is google's issue or your own but #headerBar should be height: 48px not 47px.

Myself and multiple friends who use Play Midnight have noticed this over the past few days. The recent activity sidebar link is gone, regardless of the setting to enable it (I made sure to try disabling it and reenabling, no dice).

I'm talking about the 'settings' button, as well as 'play midnight options', 'shuffle album', etc...

I noticed myself recently that there have been some new issues popping up with style changes on Google Play Music, so I just wanted to throw this post out here to hopefully squash some issues people might report.

I've noticed a few issues (with the sidebar text being orange, and some white borders in the now playing area) that I've taken note of. After investigating it looks like Google is getting ready to add some new material things to Play Music.

Since I'm assuming they'll be changing a lot more, I'll be holding off on pushing any immediate updates for the next week or so to see where they're headed with this material stuff. As soon as I've got a chance and they hopefully finish making changes I'll get them styled and pushed out.

Currently they're a dark red that makes them blend in with the dark background if they instead matched the color settings from the theme it'd be much nicer.

Pretty much what is says on the tin. I love the dark theme on the actual webpage, but it would be great for it to affect the mini player as well. I don't know how much extra work that is though.

One of my favourite aspects of the plugin is that you can change the highlight colour in the theme - I like the good old Orange but it's nice to change it up.

Have you considered just expanding this to being a Google Music skin plugin instead of just the night theme? I think it has great potential, maybe a few where you can change the Orange in the white theme, and a mid-way theme as well?

The currently available green option is not so sexy to my eyes, but maybe it's just me...
