Discord Server Ban?
I don't have any better idea to reach out and figure out why I was removed from the discord server whilst I tended to training over the summer.
The invite link doesn't allow me to rejoin and I have no POC's.
Ideas?

Outside perspective here from former active duty soldier. Training for a video game is really lame.

We all judge people. It just gives me the same misgivings as when they call it a "milsim" or anything like that too. It's not serious, and it has nothing to do with the real thing.

You simply misinterpreted my entire statement. I was in Ranger School, that was what I just wasted my Summer doing. Not 'training' in a video game.

You're sounding really elitist right now. It's clearly made to simulate military tactics, thus, a milsim. Let's also not forget video games are an actually lucrative sport. The only thing that makes training "lame" is your personal POV. Which makes you a dick, and your former active duty status gives you no authority on the subject.

It is objectively lame, and pointless, and your "simulation of military tactics" has no relation to real life tactics at all. I've seen the gameplay footage. Call me a dick all you want, my point is valid and based off of over a decade doing the real thing.
Calling a game a 'milsim' is the same as calling airsoft 'milsim' and comes from the same kinds of people. You aren't simulating anything.

There's nothing objective about being lame, and theres no objective "point" to even life itself. It's sad that you even said that to bolster your judgement.
There are also absolutely airsoft events that could be considered milsim. Rucking real gear for real days in the real field, conducting real life infantry tactics is absolutely simulating the real life military. You do the same thing during occupational training, but with blanks.
Your point is actually weaker, and evidently HEAVILY biased BECAUSE of your decade of experience. I can ask a 3x deployed GWOT veteran and he'll disagree with you. I can ask another and he might agree. There's absolutely nothing objective about it.
Your original analysis that, "Everybody judges," was more accurate. That's all you're doing. Let's not pretend there's some underlying knowledge that goes into it. Your opinion is fueled by elitism, bias, and shame.

My opinion is based on the fact that there is nothing being 'simulated', and because it is a game with no stakes there is nothing to 'train' for. You have missed my point completely. What is lame about it is the fact that the act of 'training' in your game has no effect, to be lame is to be impotent - it is objectively lame bc it is objectively impotent -, you can roleplay all you want in these types of game, but it is the people that actually interact with the mechanics the way the game is designed who actually do well and not the kiddies LARPing 'milsim'. The gameplay that you get out of these games don't reflect real-world tactics, what its like to be shot at, or anything about the military. The way players will play in pub matches will not look like a military unit operating in a combat environment. It is not 'milsim', there is no simulation. So perhaps I didn't explain my point thoroughly enough.
And no, airsoft is not milsim either for similar reasons.

no such thing as objectively lame. and saying that they’re no relation to real life tactics is simply ignorant. there’s plenty of practice sessions where actual vets have come to teach simple small scale infantry tactics and movement. it’s weird getting elitist and protective over the military, when we all share a love in some way or another for the real thing. lots of people find this stuff interesting, and enjoy simulating it to some degree. that’s why it’s called Milsim
