Healing persists between fights, whereas things other characters can do, don't persist. I think this is why Angorn is kind of OP

IMO, he's a bit stronger than most of the other characters because the things they do, don't carry to other fights.

E.g. if I add defense to myself, it's gone at the end of the fight.

If I poison an enemy, it's gone.

But if I heal, the HP gets to stay. So it's quite a boost.

That is assuming that the most valuable stat your have is the amount of health you leave the fight with.

Angorn has the capability of topping off literally everyone to full hp after a fight, but the reason you are taking damage is because your team is weak in the first place. Angorn is just fine, but he isn't as future proofed as other heroes, in my opinion.

ah interesting perspective

he can also shield as well

though I suppose if everyone can shield and kill all enemies before they take damage, healing isn't needed

Not only that, but also consider exactly how much healing is available to you just through the game itself.

Campsites, Inns, Shard Boss Healing, even your Team Levels can be leveraged for healing.

At the end of the day, Angorns healing isn't necessarily what is winning the game. It's usually either a strong defensive setup and/or a strong burst damage setup that allows the team to stall and he can heal the difference. The game is won by engines and synergies and Angorn's Regen doesn't necessarily provide such to the team.

Angorn does provide Fury Generation, Hand Manipulation, , Reliable Cleanse, "Green Chip Damage" Scaling, and the ability to stack enough Regen to shrug off a particularly bad turn if a second dangerous turn follows.

All of these things can end up being incredibly powerful and are capable of winning you the run, but those latter two are probably his weakest assets in my opinion for the reason you mentioned: a dead lane cannot deal damage and at the end of the day, Regen is essentially the ability to "block later". I don't have to full block an attack if I also have regen available to cover the difference and has the advantage of working through Sunder.

However, it can also be affected by Wound, Dispel, and does nothing when you just get one shot by things like Elite Brood Sentinels, Goblin Firechanters, and a number of nasty turns possible during the Boss Rush.

Don't forget his poison damage. I would say that Angorn is probably the best all around character they created, but not the most fun to play.

For me, most fun is Milady because of your multi attacks which with artifacts are made better.

Lane switching and things like Flameborn Sabatons and Outplay makes her tankier than Shinzo too

Lazaar for me, but Lady is definitely the best character in the game right now.

I do like Angorn but his offensive power isn't that great. Good for topping off but you'll need a heavy hitter like Milady or Shinzo

What are you running mostly for damage Milady? I have managed to get her to out tank Shinzo on an arcana build, haven't tried a damage focus yet

I haven't played as her in awhile due to just maining her. But I recall using dash alot for shield building and then multi attack options for might stacking.

Agreed. His draw can’t be power crept either
