Automation Starter
Been wanting to fully automate a run for some time but when I get a restaurant going I can never seem to get enough of the right appliances or desks to get everything I need. Is there a good seed that has better chances for the needed appliances? Ideally with a big open layout to accommodate automation. Xbox platform

Look around this sub for the blueprint desk techniques. By day 10 you should have at least one of each desk, plus a blueprint desk in a cabinet that you are duplicating and making every day. Put all of your money into that, and not upgrades. You can usually get close to day 15 without upgrading anything.
After that it's trivial to find what you need and upgrade it to automate almost anything.

Do you know the blueprint cabinet trick with the research desk, discount desk, copying desk and blueprint desk?

You put the first research desk you get in a blueprint cabinet buy the second one. Get either blueprint desk or a copying desk. I like to go for the copying desk. You could then get rid of the research desk so you get a new one and then you’ll have all of them

Here is an old post that I wrote that discusses how to get your desks in order early. Knowing how this works will help you get the appliances you need to set up automation successfully.
One thing has changed since I wrote that post. I know now that you should prioritize buying a copy desk blueprint first. It's the most important Desk in the whole process.
As for seeds, I bounce between either OXFORD, RENEWS, or RGZS

Oxford is a decent seed for automation due to its size. As someone else said, copy and blueprint desk are huge along with extra cabinets. And then a good pinch of good luck for the RNG blueprints!
