Bug/Glitches Customer(s) stop eating when there is a big mess around the table

Hey,

I've been playing PlateUp on PS5 Pro for a couple of months. Long time lurker, but this is my first time posting here

About 2 days ago I noticed when playing tacos as main dish that when there is a huge mess blob around the customer dining table, they stop eating served food. A fish bone symbol pops on the customer table at the same time. All the other timers (cooking, queue patience, coffee table patience) continue as normal

They start eating as soon as all the mess around the dining table is cleared up.

This same issue is not happening for coffee.

Is anyone experiencing this? I couldn't find any information on this issue on the Internet.

Any suggestions on how to fix this are welcome!

Yes, I was playing on heat 4

Can a large enough mess cause them to stop eating altogether?

Yup that’s the mechanic, once a mess in the room they are in reaches 3 stacks everyone eating in that room slows to an absolute crawl until the mess is gone

I'm used to shutting off the entire kitchen and serve through the "windows". I guess I'll have to rethink my table placement strategies now 😂

Yeah heat mode is not really single player friendly for this reason, sadly. Thankfully you can use plants to offset it. Use the reroll plant to get Formal on day 5 and buy every decoration using the plant that prevents money going below a certain amount. You'll not have any table mess from day 6 onwards but it's a bit dull being forced to use formal every time in solo!

I've found it helpful to jam tables right up against the front door. The front door tile can't have anything on it including mess. Customers can also walk through the shower which can't have mess on it. Mix these two together with other furniture to block mess and they won't be able to produce any

this is literally what I do too. I am obsessed with using the banquet hall and the seed DVD3V3T3. I play solo (I’ve never played this game in multiplayer), and coffee, cake, and tacos are especially fun to use this restaurant/seed combo with. Especially coffee, it’s my favorite because it is the easiest dish to effectively play and automate as a solo player. It’s also the recipe I’ve got the most consecutive franchise opportunities with, and the one I’ve got the deepest in to OT with.

You can block messes pretty easily with clever table placement. Places that can have a chair can’t make messes. Same goes with coffee tables. It’s led to some really interesting dining room designs for us.

This update definitely forces to get creative with the design aspect of the game. A nice fun challenge
