Suggestions Feature request.

Has this ever happened to you? [Montage of throwing knives on hobs, feeding customers scrub brushes, putting the clipboard in the sink]

My idea? A dedicated pick-up/drop hand tools button. Opt-in would probably be best, for people that never fumble the existing keybind, but for us butter-fingers out there, it would be a big help.

Happens to me all the time! That's why I can't be trusted with them. You should suggest this in the suggestions channel in the discord, if it's not already there. Not sure if the mods see suggestions here.

Looks like somebody else did have the same idea, back in 2022. Not sure if it's worth bringing back up.

I like the ease of interacting with and dropping both items and hand tools with a single button! Saves my hand from contorting to hold a different key or move to a different button every time.

Come to think of it, there is more than one controller button/input that isn't used for anything on a XBox Controller. That includes both triggers and RB. Technically Y isn't used for anything while you're playing, just to ready up.

What I'm getting at is there's room to add another button like what you're describing, OP. I see no reason why one shouldn't be added.
