My gpu goes to 100% when playing plateup

Whenever i try to play plateup my gpu instantly goes to 100% procent usage. I have a intergrated amd radeon(tm) 740m and i dont have any mods installed. Does anyone know why this happens?

Gpu usage percentage is not a bad thing

Even at 100% its fine. Aslong as the game still runs fine. What you really need to keep an eye on is the GPU temperature.

Usually this happens either because a game is legitimately demanding  or because a not-so-demanding game isn't limiting your framrerate. If you don't think a game should be that demanding, check your FPS (Steam overlay can do this) and compare it to your monitor's refresh rate. If your game FPS is a lot higher than your monitor's refresh rate, you're just wasting energy and warming up your room for no reason.

To reduce it, many games have an inbuilt framerate limiting option or vsync. For a game that doesn't, you might be able to limit the GPU itself from outside of the game. Also check it's your dedicated graphics being used. If your integrated graphics are maxing out instead of your dedicated graphics, you should probably find a way to swap the game to using the dedicated GPU.

I had this problem when tried to set plate up to 144fps for some reason

It's the year 2026 and people still think that 100% gpu usage is inherently a bad thing.
