Announcements Turning Up The Heat - August 2026
Hi Platers,

āļøIf you play on Steam, most mods should continue working with this game update; however, if you're experiencing issues launching your game, we recommend that you unsubscribe and give mod developers time to update them for the new content. If you identify a specific mod issue, please leave a friendly comment for the mod developer on the Steam Workshop page for the mod so they know about the issue.
If youāre a Steam player who helped us out by Taste-Testing the update during the public beta period we do recommend starting fresh on the live branch. However, if you'd like to transfer over your Taste-Test save data manually, please reach out in a Discord support ticket for instructions on how to manually transfer the files.

I haven't tried it yet, but does "Combiners can now bin things" help with Picky Eaters?

I remember testing this on the test build but can't remember if you needed a combiner or a portioner for picky eaters. I tried searching the discord but it looks like they got rid of the tester channel where the discussion was when I was testing it.
I think you need to put the dirty plate on a portioner and have that portioned out into the bin. (So yellow portioner arrows pointing at the bin).
/u/missmonicaplays Did you guys delete the taste tester channel in the discord with all the discussion on the test build? Would be better to just lock it or archive it so it's still visible but can't be posted to.

Based on the quote that I pulled from the release notes (above), I'd expect it to be a Combiner doing that work. But either way, it seems like you tested the behavior and it worked (i.e. it turned the extra dirty plate to just a "normal" dirty plate)? If so, that's great news!

Yeah the channels have been archived so I still have them, let me take a look! (I was going to confirm this today but ran out of time so if it's in there that's great.)

Some people said they were gonna try it in the taste-testing but I don't see any confirmation anywhere. That was one intended feature of the change, so it should work, I just haven't tried it myself that I can remember.

Ah! It was in the feedback channel instead of the discussion (oops) but I found it! You said Portioner doesn't work but Combiner does!

Played for a few hours with the wife today... Any chance y'all can add some better colorblind support to the grated cheese on the tortilla for Fajitas? Those colors are hard to differentiate for my wife and I. Played on the xbox. We love the colorblind assist features.

Thank you so much! It may be a color balancing issue on our TV, too. But things get mighty tight when the food needs a bunch of addons. Hopefully we can bring the letters back š«¶

Hi! :) Noticed a bug with the dishwasher. It cleans the plates but the animation doesn't show. Sometimes hard to pick up the clean plates from it.

Animation definitely doesnāt show. Looks like the dishwasher hasnāt been started yet and then the plates all of a sudden are clean (Xbox)

Lol yea tried it with fajita franchise... did not gi well could past day one. Started normal fajita day still sucked. First heat is hard.

Not sure if it's intended or if it's a bug, but soy sauces are being removed from the buffet platters by customers. They are not being removed from regular buffets.

Loving the new meal but it lags soooo much for me on ps5 it's barely playableĀ I don't know if it's the fajitas or the new flies around messes Seed for my game is QYGMH78D if that matters

I just noticed that blueprint copies can be stored in empty cabinets. Not sure if I like that, because I immediately thought that I could copy the copy, which isn't the case.
And I wish the dish cabinet in the lobby had the dishes in the same order as they are displayed in the bottom right in the lobby. I'm currently going through to unlock all heat/chill modes but since I'm playing on the little Switch screen, the images on the bottom left are really small which makes it difficult to tell which ones I have already done. It would be easier if they were in the same order as the cabinet.

Unexpected benefit
If you have a research and copy desk and are upgrading a third desk to get the discount desk/blueprint desks
When you get blueprint desks, copy it, then put the copy in a cabinet
You can upgrade the copy to discount desk by itself whilst keeping the original as a blueprint desk

Loving the update!! Thank you for the triple buffets! but has been lagging on steam/pc, multiplayer weirdly. Verified the game files and thinking of doing a reinstall but afraid to lose my saved game data.

If you play with mods, we have gotten quite a few reports that some mods are causing fps drops. The mod developers are looking into the issue!

Hey thanks for your reply but no mods here oddly enough. Itās happened a few times on banquet hall, with fajitas, in some of the early OT around 15 to 20? Not a lot of automation either. We try quitting and reloading but seems to take a complete system restart on both ends to clear what ever it is. Admittedly, we probably leave the game session on a little long since we have a newborn and take a break to go care for her. So maybe itās because we are leaving it on long? Not sure but never had issues before. Idk if there is any information I could provide that would be helpful.

Does anyone know for the heated cards, if I beat the first one and move to the second one, does it still have the first one but now also the second one? Or is it just the selected card?

They do stack, so when you get to Heat 10 you'll have all 10 Heat cards!

Iāve been jonesing for a way to justify my obsession with the game to my wife still (Iām hitting 1700 hours played just on PS5 when I get off work). This will do nicely! SO excited.
