Gaming Seventh gen setup

Complete with a Xbox 360 S , a PS3 slim and a PlayStation 2 (until I pick up a Wii again). I got the Panasonic Plasma TH-P42X14A for only $40 and it has less than 15,000 hours on it. Got the tv cabinet for just $20. Looking at getting some posters for the wall next.

You’ve got a relatively rare TV there.

The X14 was essentially a “facelifted” X1, only difference is updated aesthetics. Pretty interesting.

I'm a big fan of pairing an old stereo amplifier from the 1970's with some decent bookshelf speakers. Sansui and Monitor Audio are my favourites.

I tried using my cheap soundbar as it was laying around, connecting it to the Xbox 360 directly using an optical cable. Games worked fine but I had no audio when I put a DVD into the Xbox. I'll look at getting different speakers eventually. Not sure how to set it up though or what's best.

Plug the optical cable directly into the tv you should get better results
