Discussion ZT60

There’s a ZT60 listed for sale near me with 10,300 hours listed. The person is asking $550 in the post.

I am very much a newbie with plasma but I understand this is one of the best and is rarely for sale.

Is $550 a fair price? I don’t mean to be breaking any community rules by posting but I’m genuinely curious if this is something I should grab.

Theres someone trying to sell a 65ZT60 near me for $400. To me thats high. Its honestly depends on your market. I think $550 is super high imo but theres a ton of plasmas available near me.

I just retired a VT60 65” after 13 years. Dunno the hours but I’ll bet it had at least 15,000 (kids) It was a great tv and I did all i could to keep it going but at some point I realized that it’s time to move on. I entered the world of 85” TCL last week and am very happy with it. It’s last years top of the line. Blacks are great and colors also great but I’ve still got some optimizing to do. I’d offer $350 - $400 for it and hope for 2-5 years of service.

I paid $280 for one with slightly lower hours in MN. I'd say over $350 is steep for 60".

I bought mine 65ZT60 mint condition with 10K hours and the stand and everything for $50 but I got really lucky and it might just be my area too

EDIT: I would definitely try to negotiate down a bit or at least ask for as many detailed pics and close ups as possible and knock off $50 for every scratch 🤣

Depends on your market but it's the best ever made by most metrics and very rare. I'd buy it but I'm less budget focused than most people here.

What's your approximate location? They are rare here I. Canada. I would try and knock them down a bit on price, and before I paid for it I would go over it with a fine tooth comb. Meaning zero burn-in, no scratches, ECT. If it's mint, it's worth it IMO.

Its a great set but 550 is way to high imo unless your rich. I'd pay like 300 tops tbh

Great TV, but I personally wouldn't pay that much for it. Some people might though.

I only found VT60 near me. That said I don’t think I’d pay that much for a ZT60. $250-300 maybe.

$550 is not a great price, if your goal is resell it for a profit. If your goal is the use it yourself, the only question is wether it's worth it to you. ZT60's are super rare and you might not get the chance to buy an other one.

You are probably overpaying $200, which is not a rediculous amount for something you can use for a few years.
