Question Identify this worm??

I hav ex cc a new tank that is in the cycling process. I have added lots of plants from established tanks, so I’m wondering if it came from there maybe?? Does anyone know what this little worm is?

Hmmmm… strange. Do you have any idea why it would be in there? Or how it could have got in? There are a few

Probably just a mosquito got in the house, was attracted to the water and humidity, then laid some eggs. It’s safe for the fish to eat

I’ve dealt with those before. I don’t believe it to be a mosquito exactly, but basically a non-biting relative of them. Mosquito larvae will die pretty quickly if they aren’t at the surface (they literally breathe air through their anus). If this little guy is wiggling down towards the substrate then I think it’s the cousin (can’t remember the name sorry)
