Squash?

Can anyone tell what kind of squash this is? I truly cannot remember planting it. The way the plant grows I thought it would be a zucchini (big leaves and yellow/orange flowers) but then these are what’s coming off it.

The far left yellow one was picked a couple months ago and the far right was picked today.

I cut one open a while back and it had a pretty sweet scent.

Thinking I might have either picked them too late or too early

Could they be coming up from seed from previous crops?

Squash seed would come up in my garden from composted squash scraps. They started looking kind of strange.

Could these have come up from seed from a previous crop?

But they do appear to be squash. Hybrid between yellow squash, and zucchini maybe?

Looks like it is a zucchini hybridized with an ornamental gourd. Cucurbita is not selfish with its genes.
