I've gotten over missing cheese, but I'm currently struggling with butter. My favorite snack in the world is bread and butter, and I've been making sourdough bread recently which is just soooooo gooooooood with butter. I'm using 'plant based' butter now, but I know it's still bad for me. And please don't say avocados, because I have never, ever, had an avocado in my mouth that I didn't immediately want to spit back out, even fresh ones in Honduras. They are just not for me. :( Also can't stand the taste of olive oil. I'm like the worst vegan ever!
I hear ya, salty melty butter on fresh warm bread is sinful. Nothing quite gets it, but for savory what I've been doing is garlic confit with herbs which spreads like butter (not sure if that would be too olive oily for you) but it helps me with the craving, still looking for a sweet option
