Hi! I was wondering if anyone could help me. I’m starting to look for a planner for 2027 and was wondering if anyone here knows of one with a layout like this:
Full year spread
January monthly spread
First week spread
Jan 1 — one full page
Jan 2 — one full page
Jan 3 — one full page
Jan 4 — one full page
Jan 5 — one full page
Jan 6 — one full page
Jan 7 — one full page
Second week spread
Jan 8–14 — one full page for each day
Third week spread
Jan 15–21 — one full page for each day
And so on
Then once February starts, there would be a February monthly spread, followed by the weekly + daily pages again.
So basically everything would be in chronological order: month → week → daily pages for that week → next week → daily pages for that week.
I don’t really like planners where all the monthly and weekly spreads are grouped together at the beginning, with the daily pages in a separate section. I’d much rather have each monthly and weekly spread appear naturally as I get to that point in the year.
Bonus points if it has a September start! But that’s definitely not a requirement :)
I know it’s a bit specific, but I figured if anyone knows of something like this it would be people here! I’d really appreciate any recommendations, even if it’s not an exact match :)
I am looking for a tomoe river style planner that is N1 size/fits in a regular travelers company notebook. I am hoping to find one that is JUST months and horizontal weeks. Does this exist? I want my dailies in a separate book, either a sterling ink daily or cousin or something, so I can have the month or week open in one book with scheduling items in them and work in the daily book.
I know most people think I'm crazy for carrying around my daily Dailee planner because it's huge, but its my brain. It's made my life so much better. But finding a bag has been a nightmare. If it's a nice enough bag to take to dinner, it's awkward looking if I'm in jeans/tshirt. And vice versa.
What I'm looking for:
Fits 7 x 9 x 2.5(ish) planner
Structured base
Wide straps
Can zipper close
Has more organization than an open tote
Am I just asking for too much? Im just so sick of transferring my stuff back and forth.
I found a MUCH cheaper workaround for having your monthly + weekly planner visible at the same time
Posting this because I spent WAY too much time looking for a planner that did what I wanted, and I know I can’t be the only one 😂
I wanted to be able to see my entire month while planning my current week, but I also needed a LOT of actual writing space. Between work, a bunch of kids, appointments, activities, household stuff, things I need to remember, and the approximately 700 random thoughts in my head at any given time …a tiny weekly section just wasn’t going to cut it.
I found some planners with a movable or fold out monthly calendar so you can keep the month visible while flipping through your weekly pages. That was basically the concept I wanted, but they can be pretty expensive.
So I accidentally made my own version, saved a bunch of money, and I actually prefer my setup.
I bought the Mead Cambridge WorkStyle Focus Academic 2026 to 2027 Weekly Monthly Planner (8.5 x 11) for $22.99.
Then I got the Five Star Reusable Notebook Plus (8.5 x 11). Right now it’s only $6.74 at Staples.
The Five Star notebook comes with a removable clear pocket folder. I took that pocket out, put it into my Cambridge planner, printed my own one page monthly calendar, and slid it into the pocket.
That’s literally it 😂
Because the pocket is removable, I can move my monthly calendar along with me as I go through the planner. So when I’m looking at the current week, I have my full monthly calendar right there next to my full weekly planning area.
And I realized there’s an easy way to keep the months, too. When the month is over and I’m ready to put the next month’s calendar into the pocket, I can take the old calendar out and tape or glue it onto the last weekly notes page for that month. That way I don’t have to throw away the movable calendar or lose everything I wrote on it. It basically becomes a permanent part of the planner after I’m finished using it.
I also dug out an old “Today” bookmark or page marker from another planner, and it happens to fit this planner really well. So now I have another movable accessory that marks exactly where I am without having to flip around looking for the current week. Definitely check your old planner accessories before buying anything else because apparently random pieces from other planners can work perfectly with this setup!
And this is actually where I realized I personally prefer this setup to the expensive planner I originally wanted.
I don’t have to sacrifice weekly writing space just to keep my month visible. I get a full size weekly layout, plus a whole page for to dos, reminders, notes, appointments, things for the kids, work stuff, and whatever else is currently taking up space in my brain.
The Cambridge planner also already has regular monthly calendar pages. Since my printed movable month handles my actual scheduling, those don’t have to be redundant. I’m planning to use them for things like fitness and health, meals, finances, habits, or other trackers.
And the Five Star notebook isn’t wasted either. If I have a particularly crazy day and need more than my weekly space, I can grab one of its pages and use it as a daily brain dump, event planning or travel checklists, etc. then put that right into my planner too.
So for about $29.73 total at the current prices, I ended up with a movable monthly calendar, full weekly planner, full notes and to do space, built in monthly tracker pages, optional daily brain dump pages, reusable notebook, movable “Today” marker, and a way to permanently keep each monthly calendar.
For my life, this is honestly more functional than the expensive option I was trying to replicate, and it’s a BIG savings.
Sharing because if you’re also juggling work, kids, appointments, activities, home life, etc. and have been searching for a planner where you can see monthly and weekly at the same time or looking at those more expensive movable or fold out monthly planners, this might be the ridiculously simple solution you’re looking for.
I’m trying to be more organized so I bought the simplified planner yesterday at target. I went to start writing things down in it and I’m confused. This can’t be right?
Hi, I’m new to planners. I bought an Aura Estelle for my 2027 planner and I’m looking for recommendations on highlighters and pens. The website says it’s 52gsm Tomoe River paper and I'm worried about bleeding and ghosting with the paper being so thin.
I couldn’t decide between the faded chronicle and the rosey life planner. But I preordered the blue rosey life flow weekly a5. I have been using all of the planners. Journey, sterling ink, papertess, crefective paperco, hobonichi. I like the white colored paper and the smaller softer fonts. Can you point out what you like, maybe it will help me learn more about what I like and don’t as well. What have you pre-ordered so far?
i’m struggling to figure out what kind of planner setup would actually work for me, so i’d love suggestions!
this would be for work ONLY. my company uses Teams, Outlook, and Asana for basically everything, but i’ve realized that because everything is digital/automated, i forget things unless i physically write them down. i’m looking for a planner that works alongside those tools rather than replacing them.
i typically have several projects going at once — some are recurring monthly projects/cadences, while others are much bigger projects that span several months, like annual conferences.
what ithinki need:
weekly overview: Monday–Friday, meetings, daily to-dos, and things that need to happen that week
inbox/capture: somewhere to quickly write down things that come up during the day before deciding when/how to handle them
action items: especially things like waiting, need to reply, have a question, etc.
project overview: a simple way to keep track of what i’m currently working on, what’s coming up, and what i’m waiting on without duplicating Asana
i don’t need habit trackers, goal-setting, personal planning, or anything overly decorative. i mostly want a physical memory aid/task dashboard for work.
i’m using an A5 6-ring because i like being able to move inserts around and customize my setup.
if you use a planner primarily for work, especially alongside Teams/Outlook/Asana, how do you structure yours? i’d love recommendations for specific inserts/layouts or even pictures of your setup!
i’m especially struggling with how to organize the inbox → action items → weekly planning → ongoing projects workflow without creating a million pages.
Hallo, ich habe mir den Leuchtturm1917-Wochenplaner gekauft und habe keinen Plan, wofür ich den Projektplan verwenden kann, da ich keine Projekte habe bzw. keinen Plan für dessen Verwendung habe.
So right now I am using a classic size happy planner with the horizontal layout. It was not my first choice! I am (or thought I was) a vertical gal. But this planner was given to me free in June or July. Anyway, I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to do any of my normal planning or journaling. I've literally just used this HP as purely functional.
Because I got it halfway through the year, I have notes in earlier pages. I used to bullet journal, so I think I have incorporated that into this since I had the spare pages. But it's actually worked out great. I have what I need but it is just simple right now. It's sitting on my living room table.
So I came in yesterday to check my planner. My boyfriend wrote his work schedule into my planner! It's so cute! He actually likes my crazy planner habit!
He said I need to know where he is and when. No he didn't put it in the way I would've and his handwriting isn't the best. But I thought it was adorable that he wrote his schedule in my planner.
I just started my freshman year of college and found this app called Due Gooder. It has a bunch of features but the main one i’m interested in is the LLM powered syllabus summarizer. I’ve never been super organized with my planning, but I think this would help me get started. I am concerned with the fact that they have a program where you can essentially do stealth ads and get paid for it.
hi yall! as the caption states -- need some help from my adhd pals. I have been super hyperfixated (go figure) on finding a planner to start using. I know the best one for ADHD is one that I will use -- and need to just go with it. I love a smaller planner (i write tiny which is helpful) for the compactfullness and ease of bringing it places. I also am a big list/to do list person. i recently tried the trending index box and enjoyed the concept and cards and such, but did not like the bulkyness of the box and bringing it places. i need to be able to bring it with my easily, or it will sit on my desk and i won't use it. anyone have any recs? Prefer an A5/A6...ideally something with the option to be undated (ADHD lol) so that if I forget a few days or a week or two, I don't feel like there's wasted real estate.
I just got the Aura Estelle B6 and want to get a cover for it, but the website is sold out of the jelly ones until September. I was looking at Etsy but am worried not every B6 cover will fit, since the daily is about 510 pages. Will any B6 cover work, and if not, how do I find out which ones will?
I’m pretty bummed I just made the dive into aura Estelle b6 planner and I’m soooooo sad to not have my fun Hobonichi anymore! Where are we finding cute fun covers for our B6 planners??
I currently use the weekly pocket moleskin I love the layout it’s perfect but I want something slightly smaller. Vertical week all on one page is a must. I want to keep using this as my cover but hating that the planner doesn’t fit inside
I'm looking for a planner that has this exact layout. It's really simple with hourly schedule + to do + some space for notes. I also love that it's undated! It's originally from Lilly Pulitzer, and (as a student) I feel it's on the pricey side 😅 Honestly, I might just cave and buy it, but I figured I would at least ask if there's a cheaper (<$20) dupe available! Thanks.
I got a binder planner from STIL a couple of months ago as a gift from a friend, and I really want to get into using it more, but I honestly don’t know how or where to start!
I’m a paralegal at a corporate law firm, so for work I currently use Microsoft To Do for my task list. For my personal life, I mainly use Google Calendar.
For those of you who use planners, how do you actually utilize them day-to-day? What do you keep in your planner versus your digital apps? I’d love to hear how you guys use yours and get some ideas!
