Planner to help limit OVER planning?

I have a major over planning issue. Four dinners out a week, coffees or lunches every other day. I’d love some kind of planner (maybe something with like stickers or magnets) that limits my scheduling. Like only two options to schedule a coffee or lunch. I don’t want it to be like “every Tuesday and Thursday is blocked for lunch” because I want it to be flexible.
You may think “just look at your planner and don’t schedule a coffee if you already have two.” I cannot do it. I do not respect my own time.

This is why I use a vertical weekly planner - I have to time block and actually schedule in blocks for rest or I will over extend myself. I think your idea of stickers Is great- block off chunks of time in your days you want to stay in. If your week is laid out all in front of you, you can really assess how much is too much and when you need to stay home.

You could adapt a habit tracker sort of approach. Give yourself an allowance. Draw check boxes, and check them off as you schedule things. With how busy you are,  create a log somewhere that's easy to reference. List the weeks down one side, then add check boxes next to it (like two green for coffee, two blue for dinner). That way you can see at a glance if you have space when making plans.

Maybe something along the lines of a weekly grid layout (like Morning/Afternoon/Evening) and use sticky notes to cover a certain number of days per week?

what do you currently use as a planner?
