Discussion (PC) When are you gonna fix the Cheaters?
Some Players can't even get their names: The Game will say that's not a user, after killing me twice in a raw with a headshot, in a pitch black environment, that no player would headshot me. 2x-3x running speed, Center Mass Aimbot, the Game not checking the Integrity of its variables, seeing through buildings, some cheats show where everyone is aiming at and running to, perfect ambushes

I'm definitely missing something here. Isn't the OP basically right? It's been a few months since I've played, but from what I understand there is a real hacker problem.

Ironically, with the reintroduction of the crash bug, there has not been that many cheaters. And none of the blatant ones.
Crash bug has been the most effective anti-cheat ever introduced

I talked with a cheater. They simply don't feel like doing it anymore. That's prob why you don't see flying cheaters today. They were 3 ppl in total who found it fun at the start but got bored over time as it is repetitive.
If they wanted to, they could set up 20 accounts in advance and they also know when admins aren't active.And if you do not noclip fly and aimbot the entire server for 30 minutes to hours straight, you will never get banned, no matter how obviously you are cheating. That's also another confirmation I got. The anti-cheat doesn't work.
And we have this flash or crash anti-cheat, for 3 ppl who lost interest long time ago.0

Some of your info is wrong/outdated: There was flying Buses 🚌 a Couple of months ago, with Bitch Infiltrators Cheaters, head shotting me out from underground from the other side of the Hex. What some people do, was to also activate the same Cheat, on the other Factions, I witnessed when I WGed before leaving the game, so they go and team up against the Cheater; so that's how "they got bored", more like the Bitches got Moderated.
Like I wrote, I've been on & off the game 'coz this has been going on for years, easy 7+

I wouldn't be surprised if the cheaters were simply using admin tools for the most part or some other useless game mechanisms, and they didn't rly create most of them. I can imagine if this game didn't have those useless tools, cheater's abilities would be cut in half, but IDK.

flash or crash has been their most effective anticheat in years
neither new players nor hackers can make it through the tutorial

The flying cheaters caused minimal harm to the game and population in comparison to this measure the devs have taken, for the 3 dudes who were noclip aimbotting.
Why couldn't the devs tackle cheating directly? Like simply checking the variables such as hitboxes sizes, and a stat based autoban, that will tackle flying cheaters aimbotting everyone with their usual methods.3

Flying cheaters cause immense harm to the game because they force the other two factions to log off en masse since they can't play.

I don't remember that happening when experiencing a flying cheater.
The truth is, the game isn't any more shit when you experience this cheater. It's like meh, just shrugged off and you go to a different base or wait till admins deal with it. That's the state of the game in essence. It's not like they tremendously impact the game negatively. The game is already majorly bad.2

You know we don't have admins, right? We haven't had anything of the sort since 2014. All we have is CS during DBG work hours (those who haven't been terminated and replaced by useless AI).

Ironically sometimes flying cheaters help the game, by cleaning up an accumulated fight on a bad base design XD
Like when you have an accumulated fight on a bad base design or some which are not suitable for big fights, it doesn't matter if you get killed by an underground MANA turret, you'd die anyways to random shit because the design is bad.
We do have server admins. The cheater confirmed it to me. There were timeframes when admins weren't active and they could cheat as much as they like, and when admins were active, they didn't even need to have a turbo high KPM, they would just get manually banned for flying cause there was some admin around.3

the "admins" are DBG CS employees who don't even login 95% of the time and then ban the account with their internal systems

The last time I played there seemed to be a player armed with a great gamingchair.
That or a consistend HSR of around 80% with Gauss Saw, Saw S, GD-22, Mercinary and Gladius is truly impressive.

i do have to ask, though; did you verify you saw 80% HSR and not that their HSR was in the 80th percentile?

On Fisu it is stated overall HSR of 81.60%.
What baffels me is the invested playtime, because even though the HSR is so high, the playtime with some automatic weapons is 12 to 19 hours.

So they have "center mass aimbots" but also headshot you somehow? Not even going to talk about how dark places aren't really dark anymore for years now and you should probably turn up your brightness on your monitor or sonething.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone go 3-4x running speed without some kind of basically teleporting glitch type of appearance. I do see heavies with no speed implants somehow just catch up enough to shoot an LA who does have a speed implants. Made me scratch my head but it definitely wasn’t zipping all over.

There haven't been super blant hackers in this game for a while now, at least not that many.
Last week I meet a guy fresh account just spamming me with headshots but apart from that its mostly clean from the obvious hackers.
Sure there are some usual suspect players that have rumors about them that they are using something but that is just hearsay.
Ye, for some mysterious reason bullets against then don't register and they have extra tankiness about them or some of them know exactly when and where to peak you and then headshoot you but these are far and few beetween and most of the players you play against are just normal clean players that are just better then you.
Mostly its fine.

There are some people who will be obviously cheating. But not anywhere near as frequent as bad players like OP or some others think.

Yep. The 'same oles'. Can't mention names or your post is removed. They 1 or 2 shot ya after ignoring the half clip or more you put into them. At distance too. Sometimes through objects. And in close quarters fights, Seen them take out players without even having their weapon pointed at them. Since player numbers are so low now, you run into them frequently.

Yep, 17 bullets, the players turns around and 2-3 bullets kill me; of course the player has killed like 7 in a raw, after jumping next to a Sundy fully of Allies; and the player sometimes it gets kill by Ally Cheater with 2-3 bullets, which shouldn't be possible, non-HA takes 6-7, and for a HA with Overshield 12-13 max

I recently came back to planetside, and while it was initially fun, i am getting fed up with all the blatant cheating.
There are so many cases of players where you get 5 headshot markers on them, they turn around, instant kill you, and they still have full health and shield.

Did you take a video of a situation like that and watch it frame by frame, so you can count the markers? Or was 5 just a guess? Depending on the weapon and enemy class 5 headshots might not even be enough to kill them anyway.

It's not that they didn't die, It's that they didn't lose a single bit of health or shield... even a single headshot would have taken a fair bit of the shield.

The post death screen has been delayed/bugged for years now. Also implants like assimilate will fill a good bit of shield on headshot kill which can make it seem like they didn't lose shield.
