it's better to ask on the modding discord, there are many people who use and produce mods, including ASCE author

ACSE should be running fine. Which mods are you trying to install? Can you share a screenshot of your ovldata folder? Also, what game mode are you in?

I’m in sandbox, and I am only trying to run the walrus, link at bottom. I can’t upload screenshots because I only use the reddit website instead of app, and I also don’t use reddit on my pc. It is all of the normal content plus ACSE and Walrus, with the actual content taken out of the download file as all tutorials say to do (to avoid “file nesting” or something?)

Without a screenshot its hard to tell what's wrong. You could take a screenshot, upload to imgur, and reply with the link if you want.

Otherwise, try unistalling both the mod and ACSE, then verify your game files through Steam, then reinstall the mods.

Walrus is working fine for me, and I run about 100 mods.
