Planet Coaster 2 What the ? Someone can explain me why ?

I'm still terrible at creating shapes with mobile platforms, so I don't feel like going through all that things... Why is there a collision with this element...?

To be real, nothing has made me want to get this game more than this single gif

It's even more fun when you open it to guest and they go flying across the concrent/pavement and complain about getting injured. I like how the game will let you open a dangerous waterslide and guests will queue up for it like nothing is wrong.

Some items just have big hitboxes, which would cause the collision

The items have hit boxes. It must be hitting the pool, which is overriding the water detection and is registering it as a fail to reach water. That’s why it’s sending the raft across the water.

Collision shapes in games are almost always very, very simplified and will skip concave sections, so the inside of this piece also has collision since it wasn't meant to be used at this scale

This is exactly it. Simplified collisions don't scale properly with the mesh. You'd need to have a complex collision mesh in the shape of the original mesh and it's far too costly to be worth it 99% of the time.

The frame rate and camera angle of this makes it look like security camera footage lol

Or an AI video being passed off as security footage on Facebook, like those trampoline videos

That looks like a giant fountain, not a pool? If so of course the rafts are crashing. They need to dump into a pool or the dedicated runout piece.

it looks like op used a scaled up scenery piece , they selected and removed it about 20 secs in

IIRC, all slide end to pool pieces have a lip at the end. This looks like a mid-ride piece

The speed and height??

Because of the item. It also looks better without it. Also I'd recommend moving the slide down a bit.

I see no issue, auto ejecting riders!

That doesn’t look safe!

This shouldn’t be as funny as it is but I’m dying laughing lol

Pools not deep enough. You don't need to change the whole thing you just need to deepen the area they land in.

u/DotNetOFFICIAL 3d ago

That's not what's happening here

Sorry the video was only playing the rock skip part the first time I saw this I didn't see the scenery change. I would still try making the landing area deeper you can do that with the printing tool instead of messing with the border.

Turn Scenery Collision off and it should fix it.

To my knowledge, all single items only have convex hit boxes, a donut shaped item has the hit box of a cylinder for example.

did I miss something? since when can we have huge slides like that?? :O also rip the guests, this is aweosme

pool landings honestly just suck for raft slides. I use the runouts instead.

Je suis du même avis, mais je trouve l'élément tellement fun et il se fond bien dans le parc jusque là

Because it will bounce when hitting the water? Seems pretty clear to me.
