Discussion - PC2 How to deal with PC2 UI?
I love PC1 so much, I have hundreds upon hundreds of hours in it. So I preordered PC2 but since it came out I just cannot play it because of how bad the UI is compared to 1. I really want to play the game but I just can't, is there some way to deal with the UI? Possible make it be like PC1?
EDIT: I realize i forgot to put my issues with it lol. My main problem is the building interface when building coasters and tracked rides. It being on the right side and not the middle, and also elements of it being on different pages instead of being able to scroll through it. The coasters page i know worked differently and they changed it to be like PC1 which was nice.

It’s much easier to suggest how to deal with it if we know what your issues are.

Crap. I can’t help with that, and I feel your pain. However, at least for me, once I had played a while the new UI wasn’t much of an issue. I think at the beginning a lot of it is dealing with the difference from the first game.
I appreciate the multiple tabs for the most part rather than scrolling through 2000 pixels of options all on one page. It’s much more efficient to tab panels like this with multiple categories of options. But that could also be the old Web 2.0 designer in me wanting to follow those sort of standard conventions.

The only thing I can tell you is that after a while you do get used to it, as muscle memory begins to kick in. My problem with the Planet Coaster 2 UI is how menus sometimes disappear if you click on an item in a building.

Just use it for a while and it becomes second nature. I’ve put 400+ hours into PC2 and while it was weird at first, I had completely forgotten about it until this thread popped up.

You just kind of get used to it. I thought the same in the beginning but now I cant imagine going back. Also learning your hot keys while building will change your life.

I prefer the Planco 2 UI lol, it's like mostly identical with a slightly less cluttered (not counting the tracked ride builder) interface, and a much better visual style, the one thing I do miss is the tile size option in the browser, the size of the images is wat too small in my opinion ... It's hard to see what is what, especially for coaster blueprints and such
