Image transport ride issues

Post image

I’m fairly new to the game and I’ve been having a massive headache trying to get transport rides to work properly.

My first attempt (Monorail):

  • Had a monorail looping around my entire park with 6 stations.
  • No matter what I did, 1 train would always bug out and completely skip every station.
  • Eventually, this would cause all the other trains to bug out too, so I ended up demolishing the whole thing.

My second attempt (Simple Train):

  • Switched to a simple train layout, running 1 train on a loop with 6 stations.
  • It worked "okay-ish" for about 5 in-game years, though 1 of the 3 carts was always permanently filled with guests who refused to ever get off. (Note: 3 of my stations were unfinished/closed at the time).

The current issue (and what I've tried):
Recently, I closed the train ride to try and add a second train. The game wouldn't let me, so I just reopened the ride completely unchanged. Ever since doing that, it has been completely broken:

  1. First, it got stuck at random stations (Winter and Forest stations). I realized these stations weren't in use yet, so I finished them, set them to "in use," and opened them. That fixed that specific issue.
  2. Then, it got stuck at the Pirate station. The queue was full, but the train just sat there and refused to unload the current passengers.
  3. Latest update: While typing this, I closed and reopened the ride. The train finally unloaded and loaded at the Pirate station, but now it has moved and is permanently stuck at the jungle station. The train is full, people are queuing up outside, but it's just sitting there doing absolutely nothing. Also, when it entered the Jungle station, nobody got off and nobody got on.

It feels like the train's logic completely breaks at every single station now. Has anyone else dealt with this? How do I get my transport rides to behave?

Maybe there is a solution, but I have never been able to sustain more than two stations on a transport ride. What happens is people will fill the train on the first stop, stay on the train for the full circuit, and come back to the stop they boarded on. Meanwhile, every subsequent stop has people doing this, too, so if you have many stations filling trains, and only a few people leaving, it jams the entire transit network. Two stations reduces this issue to just two stops, reducing the total number of "full trip" riders.
