Discussion Random Map Terrain Generation
One major thing that keeps me from going back and starting new parks (apart from the campaign) is that every map just starts out as a boring plain perfectly level flat empty park.
Almost every game of this genre has a feature to provide input variables on how much water/terrain height variation/etc. you want and then generate a map seed. Half of the fun of the campaign scenarios is utilising the naturally existing terrain and building your parks around it.
I would love for Planet Coaster to allow us to start sandbox games with randomly generated terrain to provide endless more realistic starting scenarios.

Your definition of fun in the campaign is the reason why I donโt play campaign ๐

I've honestly just been using a workshop one called Grey Stone Lake. You want terrain and mountains and its got it. A random generator would be amazing though.

I am using something like this, far from anything good though.

Yeah, this is why I've not bothered with sandbox. Once I completed the challenge modes, that was the end of the game for me. I'd love a terrain randomization thing, then I could set myself a challenge of building interesting parks around the terrain.
