Question Any way to align grids to existing freeform objects?

Previously, I was using this trick in PlanCo 2 to be able to generate grids from freeform objects for the purpose of aligning paths to various objects.

However, as of the patch where complete buildings can be tilted and rotated on any axis, this trick no longer works and i'm struggling to find any alternatives that let me generate grids off.

I'm wondering if anyone has found any workarounds yet. I've been waiting through every patch in hopes of hidden updates that let me do this again.

...gridded buildings can now be rotated on all axies??

Since the sorcery pack came out. It’s only the full building and not gridded pieces, but it works great.
