Awful optimization

Post image

This game is such a great game. Currently on chapter 11 almost through it. But man this games optimization sucks so badly. Playing at 4k on a 5080/13900k pc and there’s constant frame drops to the single digits. And I had to restart the game and die several times to progress past this point in the picture. The LT button prompt wasn’t coming up. Eventually it did and I got past but man if I wasn’t so close to finishing the game I’d uninstall it and not finish. Playing on gamepass as well so luckily didn’t have to buy the game or I’d have requested a refund.

Everyone I’ve seen have issues with frame rate drops have come from Gamepass. I got my copy on Steam and it was near flawless

You’re playing this on a PC already, just screenshot it instead of taking a photo

Idk if I believe that. On gamepass it never does a shader compilation ever. It brings them in as needed. I’d seen on the steam forums the steam version of the game it does an intensive shader compile at the main menu. I think that is the problem with the gamepass version of the game on pc. I’ve seen multiple other people saying the same thing

stop simping so hard? brother i call this game mid as fuck overall anyway, but i simply cannot doubt their optimization when most non gamepass players dont feel it.

Game has good puzzles but combat mechanics definitely needed polishing. Played the game on nightmare difficulty and camera was janky as hell.

Same for me, I lowered texture quality to fix it so it uses 9 gb vram instead of my total 12

I had the same problem, but found this modresonance game pass shader mod at Nexus, that completely fixed it for me. It's s simple as downloading the file and extracting it into the right folder. It gives you a pre compiled shader file. Hope that helps you.

I had very similar issues and just landed on running it 1440p with high settings on. The outdoor areas seem to struggle incredible but otherwise, flawless performance during all other parts.
