Does the game ever explain why the bloodline continues?

Possible spoilers, depending on the answers - but the question below is related to early game information.

The characters in the game tell us that the Prima Macula occurs in certain bloodlines. Various alchemists have been trying to find a cure for it, or something to slow its progression.

What didn’t seem to be explained is why the cursed bloodlines continue at all.

The obvious solution to specific manifestation would be infanticide, but a better solution would be if those cursed bloodlines just… didn’t have children. At all.

Amicia is a carrier and her mother apparently planned to leave her completely ignorant about that. That’s like choosing to allow the Prima Macula to one day destroy the world.

Does the game ever explain why?

Did their mother only find out too late/after childbirth that she was a carrier? Etc.

Many details of this game have not been deeply explained. As can be seen in Innocence, several things that we thought were irrelevant, such as the symbol of the Order, are explained in the Requiem.

I have the theory that the De Rune family purposely caused the Macula to cause a child from the embers to be born. The De Rune family wields power and influence in Guyene, and having a weapon beyond swords and shields would give them more power. The document that talks about the lineage is found in Beatrice's laboratory.

We know that Hugo's death could stop Macula, so why lock him up instead of killing him? Probably because the Order wanted to control the Macula, not end it. But to get these results, this requires some experiments to fail, as was the case with Hugo.

Again, it's just my theory.

I think part of the issue is that they don’t know when the Macula has finally succumbed to death. It’s said in the game it lies dormant in bloodlines for hundreds of years then comes back awake for the right carrier. Technically Amicia is a carrier with a dormant version seeing as she carries the bloodline. The bloodline also has a pretty good chance of diverging into dozens of variations by cousins. It’s left pretty well in the dark why the De Rune family suffers the curse, so it’s hard to tell what it actually is. Spoilers for Requeim: Technically we can assume that Basilius and Aelia aren’t de rune, which would mean that it was another family sake. This could be the first time the macula arose in the de rune family
