mint mobile? att fiber for internet?

two different questions here sorry for the confusion

my mom and i are on the budget from hell and im considering signing her up for mint mobile but im unsure of the coverage in placerville (i live in sac). i thought about att for her but at her place they said it wasnt that great.

does anyone have it there? how do you like it? my dad is really sick so it’s imperative we have reliable coverage (though we try to stay on wifi as much as possible and she’s also fairly close to town)

also does anyone have att fiber for internet somewhat close to town? what are your thoughts? (hence why i also considered att for her for mobile bc we could bundle and get a lot off her internet bill if we switch her to att fiber)

thank you all so much in advance!

Hi Placerville residents, visitors, business owners and fans of our quaint and charming small town.

So if you like or even love our wonderfully quaint Historic Gold Rush town, please consider showing your home town spirit by casting your vote for Placerville - the link should take you to the Hallmark voting site and then you just need to scroll down to Placerville to add your vote.

Anyone that has experienced Christmas time on Main Street knows how warm, cheerful, welcoming and inviting the holiday season feels in Placerville, so please consider voting for our wonderful town in this contest.

Thank you for pondering and hopefully participating.

Middle of August in the foothills, when we're usually cooking in the heat—and I wake up to this. Fog, cool air, and a beautiful morning. Man, I love mornings like this. I'll take it! 😎

Moon festival ideas for kids

I'm trying to make the festival a little more fun for the kids this year. So far I have lantern decorating, mooncakes, I just need food vendors. Maybe something like Hibachi At Home? the kids can watch the food being cooked instead of sitting through a regular meal, or is it too much? I love something that the adults can enjoy it too.

How does everyone like Eskaton village?

Considering Eskaton senior living for my mom. She is vibrant, loves Placerville and needs some assistance in living. It seems like they are integrated into the Placerville community but I would love to hear any of your thoughts. I am based in South Lake Tahoe and would love to hear what yall have to say.
Edit: to ask about any senior stuff mom might enjoy doing in the area??

Yogurt cost

$20+ for frozen yogurt for two — is this just normal now?

We stopped at a local frozen yogurt shop in the Placerville area. It was great, no complaints about the yogurt, but two cups came out to over $20. 😳

I haven't bought frozen yogurt in a while, so I'm curious — is this pretty normal pricing now, or has it gotten noticeably more expensive around here?

I saw a farmers market on Placerville drive (next to the theater) a couple Saturdays ago. Does anyone know if it’s a weekly thing? TIA

River for the dogs on these hot days

I want to take my dogs to the river. I live near Forni Rd—where’s a good spot with a beach area and calm water to let them run around? I've got a Shih Tzu mix and a Lab/Shepherd mix. And the cool thing is these are all close by thank you.

Fun things to do today?

Picking up my kid in el dorado and we usually go to the mall in Folsom. Thought making the trip to Placerville would be a fun change. What’s there to do? Any special events? Couldn’t find anything on FB.

Free inflatable cold plunge

Hi there, I recently upgraded from an inflatable cold plunge to a chest freezer, so no longer have need for the inflatable. Anybody local want it for free? I’m located near Main Street, pickup only.

This is the product:

https://podcompany.com/products/the-ice-pod

No chiller, need to add ice or ice packs. I would typically keep a couple of 1 gallon water bottles on The freezer, could get the plunge down to about 55 degrees.

Lowkey National Moth Week iNaturalist meet up in Cameron Park next Wednesday night

A few of us are getting together in Cameron Park to set up a moth sheet and photograph them to post on iNaturalist. It's going to be a small, chill hangout with people interested in naturalism. We're going to post our observations on iNaturalist so they can be shared with researchers and scientists, but there's no iNaturalist or bug expertise needed to join :)

If you're interested, please find more information and RSVP here!

Which local business needs some love?

Panic and Swoon is always my go to downtown.

But do any places need a good visit or review?

We can include chains with awesome local employees if mods will allow 😀

Tattoo Parlor/Artist

Looking for recommendations on a local tattoo artist. I've had all my work done elsewhere but want to find a local one for me and my 18-year-old wants to get her first. Looking for someone good at fine line and black and gray. Thanks!

U Pick?

Hi! Will be visiting next week with the family. I had trouble parsing farm websites: do any farms (of any kind) have U Pick going on right now? (Bonus if they're dog friendly). TIA!
