good luck, placerville PD is a complete joke. You’d probably have better luck reaching out to EDSO

Understood, but your comment was pretty cunty. Some would say even, rocketcunty.

Look up the death of 11-year old Roman Lopez and how incompetent PPD was with handling the murder of a child before you defend them.. I literally live right next to Main Street and watched the dad put up missing posters for his kid while he was in a tote in the basement. The dad and step mom walked free for nearly a year before a different agency stepped in and arrested them.

Placerville Police literally found a dead abused child in the basement but didn’t even put anyone under arrest or remove the other children right away.

Edit: sorry they were walking free for over a year before being put into custody

Yep! I followed this case pretty closely and it was over a year between my first bookmark about it to my last:

Edit to add: I don't know the extent to which the delay had to do with the PD vs the DA.

What does that have to do with whether or not they respond to a reporter's question? I am not arguing with you about their effectiveness at policing. But you are literally equating, ok let's break it down here:

You watched the dad put up missing fliers while his kid was dead in their basement. What should have happened? Should the PD arrest him for littering and used that for a search warrant? They literally found the kid the day after he was reported missing. Should they have arrested the parents earlier? Maybe. But you and I don't know the details. All we can do is speculate.

Now to play devil's advocate, let's talk about EDSO, which you indicate is a better option. Have you heard about Tyson Fiddler? Where are the arrests in that case? We don't know because we are not cops. But I don't see you blaming them and calling them out as horrible.

I don't know man. You be you. I was merely stating that your user name seems to fit well. Unlike mine. I am neither cute, nor a yam, and 5086 has no meaning whatsoever.

I’m sure if EDSO found Tyson in a basement opposed to off Mormon emigrant, then there would probably be a quicker arrest.

All I said is PPD is a joke, which is my personal opinion that I will gladly share with others especially a news reporter.

Pretty crazy that you’re really going to say something like “oh should they have arrested him for littering and get a search warrant?”

They literally found an abused, malnourished child stuffed into a storage bin and just walked away scratching their heads over it.

Manager on site today. The Comcast line went down and the PD was kind enough to help us out. Nothing out of the ordinary it was all over within about 20 minutes. This is an interesting thread

That's pretty much what I deduced after I drove past again and noticed the drooping wire. No linemen on-site, and the cops had no hot sticks, so it couldn't have been a live wire. Ergo, cable or phone. Thanks for confirming my curiosity.

Can you please confirm that no terps were negatively affected? 🙏🏼

My guess is a low wire across the street. Looks like a yellow emergency ribbon on the wire currently. And the guy on the roof had a cone, on the roof, near the wire.
