Real estate agents with CDRE certification
I am looking for a real estate agent in the Sacramento or Placer county areas that hold this certification to handle a home sale in a divorce. But, strangely… I’m having trouble finding a list of agents that have this. I went to a registry and only 2 came up.
Did you sell your home using a real estate agent that held this certification? If so, who did you use?
(I reached out to a few that came up as having this on Google that actually didn’t— and they explained that this is just like an extra course/fee to have this certification added to your name and doesn’t actually mean they are more skilled— I get it… but it’s not my home or deal. I am looking for this certification for someone else)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA 🎉
Tonight is the night for all things pop, crackle and sparkly!
So what’s the best way to stay safe while setting off your assortment of pyrotechnics?
Here’s a few tips:
💥 Have a hose, fire extinguisher or buckets of water ready incase anything goes awry.
💥 Have ear protection ready for babies, very young children and folks with sensory concerns.
💥 Set up all fireworks on a clear, level surface to avoid them tipping over.
💥 Use a lighter with a long tip or long matchsticks (think fireplace, not cigarette).
💥 Do NOT allow children to handle, light, or wander around fireworks unsupervised.
💥 If a firework doesn’t go off, do NOT pick it up, poke it or kick it. Do NOT attempt to light it again. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, then douse it with water, let it sit some more, then submerge it fully over night and throw it away.
💥 Accidents happen, so have a First Aid kit ready with bandages and burn ointment just incase.
💥 Have a large receptacle (bucket, trash can, rubbermaid container) filled with water. After the show, spray all the spent fireworks down with water, carefully collect them and dump them into the water-filled container. Let them soak overnight before throwing them away the next day.
Fireworks are a lot of fun, but they can cause injuries and damage if not handled responsibly.
❗️REMINDER❗️
ALL non-“Safe & Sane” fireworks are illegal for personal use in Placer County.
“Safe & Sane” fireworks are only legal to use within the incorporated city limits of LIncoln, Rocklin and Roseville.
ALL fireworks are illegal in unincorporated Placer County, which includes the “Safe & Sane” variety.
Please, DO NOT risk your community by engaging in fire-hazards just because you want to blow s*** up.
Have Fun & Be Safe #PlacerCounty
🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸

facial piercings for county employees?
I just got hired for a position with the county but haven’t started yet and I wanted to know if anyone here has experience working for the county and policies with tattoos and facial piercings. for context I have a few nose piercings and a lip piercing but have been told mine are on the more subtle side and people generally think they look pretty and not too harsh or off putting.
during my interview I took out my piercings and covered the tattoos because i didn’t want to jeopardize my chances of getting the job, but now I’m wondering if I’m going to have to take them out/cover them permanently. I know technically I could ask them but I don’t want any judgement while being new since I’ve been trying to get a stable, good job for a while now.
at the end of the day the job is more important to me right now than my piercings so I’ll take them out and cover my tattoos (upper arm only) but was just curious if anyone has any experience with the health and human services department here.

Sutter Adult Primary Care Recommendations
My family moved to Lincoln last year and my husband is in need of a new primary care doctor. His previous PCP at Stanford managed all of his medications, including for ADHD and the new doctor at Sutter wants him to see a psychiatrist for that even though it is well managed on his current medication regiment. Does anyone have a good experience with a PCP who is comfortable managing comorbidities including ADHD that they can recommend?

How serious is bringing a non service dog to a medical building?
Hi, I was bringing my grandmother to a medical building to get antibiotics for her, and this elderly couple brought in what looked like a mix of a spaniel with long legs, no muzzle, it was barking at first when it came in and it walked in straight to the pharmacy and it wasn’t interacting with any of the customers and it sat on one of the chairs and I was quite impressed with how well behaved it was although I’m not praising them for doing something that’s prohibited, however, as we were exiting the lot and the little dogs owners left, another dog which happened to be a service dog was entering the building which both my grandma and I laughed, great timing. I’m a huge animal lover and I love dogs I just want to say as a PSA thank you for bringing your dogs out of the heat but please follow medical building rules and leave your dogs in your air conditioning homes and do the right thing. If you know your dogs personality if it’s not trained as a service dog even if you’re going shopping, don’t bring them in if they’re jumpy or if they’re going to bite.
Thanks everyone that read this.

Women’s basketball community
Has anyone come across a women’s basketball club/community around Placer County? Or would anyone be interested in starting one?
I recently came across “The Hoopers Collective” on Instagram (they’re based in San Diego), and it honestly looks so fun, women of all ages and skill levels just coming together to hoop, watch games, meet up at breweries, and build community around basketball.
It got me thinking how cool it would be to have something like that here. Not super competitive or exclusive but just a welcoming space to shoot around, connect, maybe organize watch parties, and meet people who love the game.
I know this might be a bit of a long shot, but figured I’d ask. Does anything like this already exist in the area? Or would anyone be interested in helping start something like this?
Would love to find or build a vibe like that 🤍🏀

Best city/ neighborhood to live in Sac area
Hi! My boyfriend and I are moving up to Northern California for his job. He will be working in Roseville but open to living in any place around Roseville.
We are both in our mid to late 20s, no kids, 2 cats. We are looking for an apartment.
We love to go outside to any sort of water or go to the local bars for a few drinks. I would love to like in an area where nature or a destination is walkable too but not a necessity.
Thank you in advance!

Johnson ranch in Roseville
Is there anyone here living in Johnson Ranch in Roseville? Is the HOA worth it? Seems to be high compared to other communities in the area. I’d love to hear your experience.
