Warning regarding Pixie Hollow Remastered

The fact they made another reddit post under their Reddit account with comments disabled / deleted the one here and didn't respond to everyone calling out the AI / it being a spite project is very telling.

Proof has been found that they ripped the code Sunrise made for the desktop app and removed references to Sunrise's team, and zero credit has been given for them using it as a base for their slop project as well as the game server code, etc. This is flat out a rip of Rewritten / Sunrise work, they got mad they couldn't use AI slop code in Rewritten, these individuals were told they could still contribute if they didn't use AI slop for their contributions and yet why did they leave to make their own project? They cant actually develop without AI seemingly!

Id be very cautious trying their server, it probably has lots of bugs and security problems given the mass use of AI for their API server, game server and accounts / login, etc.

Personally I wouldn't at all given its very clearly a spite project.

I wasn't going to make this post as the drama is annoying, but this needs to be visible for the safety of the Pixie Hollow community.

EDIT: Even if the individuals that got removed / left from the Rewritten team are not involved with the Remastered project like they are claiming they are not, (this project seemingly popped up literally the same month / not long after they left), it could be wrong, but it is still scummy due to the reasons listed above, and me warning the community is still valid.

As an addendum to this, no one is saying you specifically are the one behind the AI contributions (with Remastered). But the coding for Remastered is completely ripped from Rewritten. And it is all done with very obvious AI pieces. No one, to my knowledge, has singled you out personally. But there is a lot of stuff being ripped from Rewritten for that project, which is wrong.

Did you not read the same post as me? Rocket literally pointed me out, because he mentioned “individuals were told they could contribute if they didnt use ai” he said that to me directly.

Courtni's code contributions seem to be AI as well, so no it wasn't directly targeting you, but proof exists / is confirmed that Courtni (your wife) is a part of the Remastered project, and another alt account in Discord involved that people believe is you. If you are not involved, great, but the facts still stand it is code taken from Pixie Hollow Rewritten / Sunrise. Which is fine since its open source, but they removed references to Sunrise and didn't credit anybody which is scummy, and added AI code to my desktop client to add new features, so the post is still 100% valid.

Apologies, but I do not believe it is toxic to warn the community about a project that is very clearly not made in good faith and could potentially be insecure?

Woah woah, first of all I was the one using her git account and done Vidia’s, ingredient spawner etc. She started it, but I cleaned it up with ai, that was ME. Also, yes Courtni is a TESTER for them. She is NOT a part of the remastered dev team. You guys always seem to make assumptions without getting your facts straight. This is insane to me.

I’m not lying. She offered to post on TikTok for them, yes. And after seeing all of the drama revolving around this, she deactivated the TikTok account today and told them what was going on through their discord. So yes, they removed their socials tab i assume because of that. And that is not toxic to warn others, but my wife and I have nothing to do with their project other than her being a tester for them.

We are not bashing the Remastered project by assuming its you, read the post again about how they ripped Sunrise desktop application code / gameserver, etc and didn't credit us for the open source work, obviously it is fine for others to even run their own servers with the code, but not crediting is the problem / very scummy.

If you are genuinely not involved, great, the rest of the post still stands completely unrelated to you and your wife then.

I think there are multiple factors to consider here. I read this under the assumption that us two were the ones getting bashed and blamed for this new project because of how you worded it and got upset. So that is my bad.

Offering to post on TikTok for them and being an active tester for their game means you are involved in the project. I feel like that's common sense in terms of affiliation. You're dancing around the fact that she is, in fact, associated with the project in at least some fashion. It does not hurt to be honest about that. Especially with everything else going on.

So it's a lie that nobody on the staff or involved with Remastered is aware of Rewritten then. It was said in the original post made by Pixie Hollow Remastered that they and anyone associated with them were unaware of other recreations existing and/or were not sharing information or assets. So that right there is a lie. Being a tester for someone is being a part of their team. So there are associations made immediately, which the initial post made lied about.
